With what they gave up, Jones would have to get on the Larry Fitzgerald level to be worth what was traded for him. And it's sad to. I think the winner is the Saints though, TWO solid picks. Holmgren got his team an amazing deal too.

I don't know about Minnesota, but I think Chris Palmer (of David Carr fame) in Tenneesee looked back on his time in Houston and thought, "you know what, either way I'm going to need a QB that can outrun people and not get sacked every 2 seconds and we're already getting rid of Vince, so yeah lets get Locker."

The Panthers are trying to take the 15% chance rope out of the NFC cellar and ignoring the 85% probability that Marty Hurney is gone in two years anyway as well as the 100% chance that he should have already been fired after the Delhomme extension.

What are you talking about? OK, Fairley looks like he might get dirty from time to time, personally, I don't mind it that much from a trench warrior, but Suh? I have no idea where you're getting that from.
In a brief search, I saw a personal foul vs Cutler and Delhomme. Neither were terrible, but the one against Cutler was hardly terrible. Helhomme's was legit though, but not dangerous.

have you watched Suh. Fierceness, but right on the edge of overkill especially the way the league protects the QB. (i wasn't trying to compare Suh to AH, just using that as an identifiable line)

Not only did they give up waaaaaay too much for a boom or bust kind of position like WR, all their fans are thinking about the 300 points that Aaron Rogers put up on them in the playoffs. They didn't think defense, they already have a stud WR, and they mortgaged off basically two drafts for one guy.

I like Julio Jones a lot, but this was an epic fail IMO. Are the five draft picks they gave worth more than the difference of being patient, staying put, and selecting a guy like Jonathan Baldwin?

I believe it was preseason where Suh had a particularly violent one. I am just throwing out one possibility. It certainly could be the wrong one.

This is football, a violent game. It's not like he's spiking people or taking out knees. The guy hits hard and takes no prisoners. We could use players like that on our team.

How about Buffalo's defensive line? Even Aaron Maybin might be able to get a sack playing with Kyle Williams and Marcell Dareus.

I'll admit: not nearly as scary as Suh, Fairley, and Vanden Bosch. But no one is talking about the Bills as a team that could have 5 wins by Halloween. And thats...an oversight.

Suh is more reckless dirty. Not "here let me hit you in the nuts" dirty. Or better yet "here let me accidently kick you in the head after your helmet falls off" dirty. His all out style has led to a few questionable hits.

I do remember some dirty plays from Suh last season. He is a beast, but he does play dirty sometimes; he likes to go for heads.

I disagree about the Giants. I think that they need better play from, and depth within, their corner ranks. And while Amukamara likely won't be much of a playmaker, he should be a very solid corner. I think getting the second best corner in the draft at #19 is good value.

As for the Iggles, they struck by combining value with need. I grant that his age would have made him less attractive to me. But at least for several years they have shored up a weakness.
