Ever since the Janet Jackson Super bowl halftime incident, the networks are running scared.
People really need to lighten up! Were these highly judgemental people ever young? Maybe there is a need for a separate game feed for the hypocritical conservatives and the religious wrong. Put it on a 10 second delay and have Howdy-Doodie and Mr. Rogers as their halftime entertainment. Plus, instead of commercials they can have organized prayer...where they can pray for never having to see a women's breast or a player pulling down his pants. "THE HORROR!" We are the only nation in the world that is so worried about nudity but are a-OK for our kids to watch violence on TV and video games and participate in violent sports. |
Joe Buck must not watch the network that cuts his checks. "Who's your Daddy?" "The Simple Life?" "Joe Millionaire?" anyone?
|
Where I grew up you actually had to pull down your pants in order to moon someone. This is another non-issue. What I do find offensive are the constant Levitra and Cialis commercials I am bombarded with while watching an nfl game. Shut up already with that noise.
Dude, those commercials KILL ME. Because you know we ALL want to hear about erectile dysfunction. |
Now that I heard the stuff about the Green Bay fans doing it to him, I dont think its as bad as I originally took it.

I'm aghast at the prudishness of Joe Buck & JB and even Sportscenter that evening who wouldn't show the clip. A fine from the NFL is likely, and I'm completely against the fine.
All Randy Moss did was say a "f..k you" in his own way to Packers fans who were heckling him for the walking away incident against the skins. I think Moss should've gone a step further and feigned taking a dump at the goal post. Moss is doing a great thing by taking all the pressure off of Tice and the Vikes, and bringing all the heat onto himself. Now Robert Royal's TD dance....that's the definition of obscene!!! I think he toned it down in the last game. Time to cut out the double standard...if you're fining Moss, fine Royal as well. It isn't as though Moss' fine is going to bring about any character improvement. |
I think that's what Royal needs to work on in the offseason, his post-touchdown dance. Jeezus.

Not to mention his "Leon" commercials If this is Marcus Robinson celebrating that way it's not an issue |

Good point. Joe Buck must read scripture all week. His reaction was the most appauling part of the whole thing... |
I don't think I have ever seen anything mor blown out of proportion in sports history. I mean seriously the sports world has spent the better part of the last two days mouthing off about this. I think some people need to seriously examine their priorities when there are so many other things wrong with the NFL. Lets talk about how much of a joke the officiating has been this year or maybe we could talk about how a league dominated by blacks has like 2 black coaches or maybe we could talk about how the league will spend another four days during the off-season meetings discussing ways to protect the QB and get offense up while ignoring poor defensive linemen and thier ever shortening careers due to the lack of adequate rules to protect them from viscous and classless chop blocks. I love football more than any other sport. I live and die by it during the season (sad but true) and I am tired of the hypocritical ass-clowns screwing up the message with their little personal vendettas against certain players. What did Randy Moss do (this time) that is even close to deserving this type of reaction?
And while we're at it...has any of these retarded ass-clowns ever considered the fact that by talking about it so much and villifying it (even though there are many who could care less) they raise it up as part of the sport and end up create more of it. If they would just ignore this crap then then there would no story and then there would be much less of it. Makes me wonder why when ever a guy scores a touchdown the camera stays on him long enough to see what his celebration will be. If they were serious about getting rid of this stuff they wouldn't ever show a celebration and they would never talk bout it. What a bunch of hypocrits. |
One of the biggest things I'm getting sick of, is how they are trying to take hitting out of football. I know that helmet to helmet is a problem, but it seems like everything that is basically a good hard hit, carries either a fine/penalty/or both.

I agree...the best was the penalty on us when we played Minn. I don't even remember the specifics(since there were so many bad calls against us this year they all sorta run together!) but didn't someone barely hit Culpepper like barely late or not at all and got a penalty. For Crissakes Culpper is like 6'5" and weighs like 260! What are you supposed to do? Ask him to please take knee so I can tackle you without hitting you! |
Remember the old fellas that didn't even have facemasks? Now those are MEN.
|
I think that Randy Moss is the biggest MEATHEAD in the league at the moment; and that by comparison, Sean Taylor is an altar boy.
|
At least Sean plays with every bit of passion he has in his body...
