Proof that long sentences are simply not read in full. I must remember to keep them short. My professional writing class prof made it a big point to keep them short. :laughing-
Bullee DAT. I was actually rooting for Niles Paul to break one on his return so we'd have justification for cutting Banks. Is it me or does he look slower and not as decisive as he was last year in deciding where to go?
Injury might have made him slower. But yeah, his mentality has become more of "must break the long one" instead of "take whatever yards I can". The former attitude is ultimately counterproductive since it makes him hesitate too much. That in turn makes it easy pickings for the coverage team.

Well you and me both, I too am a culprit of writing out long drawn sentences that might be better off summed up in a few short words.

I think that is definitely the case. Whenever you hear him in an interview, he's always saying how he needs to start breaking big returns. He obviously knows that the longer he goes without breaking big returns the more we're going to be an advocate of cutting him. When it's probably that same attitude that's killing him in the first place.

It's time for Mike Shanahan to stop making excuses for Beck. If John Beck doesn't put together his first solid game, we'll see Rex Grossman again somewhere down the line. But Beck is Mike Shanahan's handpicked guy. Beck is the QB that Shanahan had so much blind faith in this past off season that they didn't even select not one QB in the NFL draft and didn't acquire a QB through free agency. Now, after three straight starts we have to asks, how is Beck working out?

Beck rushes his reads. He overthrows wide open receivers. While he doesn't make poor decisions with the football a lot, he holds on to the ball for too long. His scrambling ability is decent, but from a scale from one to 10, Beck is definitely a 3 based on what I've seen of him against the Panthers, Bills, and 49ers.

Receivers were getting open and Beck didn't even seem to notice or was afraid to throw for any distance. That's pretty bad. Really bad. Banks is now having trouble fielding the ball and seems to be getting worse instead of better. I agree with Mooby about the TW call. First thing I thought when I saw the replay was Smith is effing with Hurt because he's a rookie.

TW was just trying to get his teammates back but whatever it's not like that play made us lose, we can't ****ing score against air in practice I hate this offense and have for years now, different QB, different OC all the time and same result

Beck - bad play...go back to Rex I guess ? dunno

Redskins receivers- Lotta drops out there...Austin, Davis stick out in my mind

Silverback- just really bad penalties

Brandon Banks- He's officially on the cut list now

Rocky - miss tackles, blown assignments. wow it just keeps getting worse...need a major upgrade

Reed - enough is enough

I will start with "Beck sucks!"

I said from the beginning, benching Rex was a HUGE mistake. The team was 3-1, when he was benched against Philly. 3-2 when they named Beck the starter. 3-2, and the starter is benched. That was a knee jerk reaction and the offense hasn't looked like it has had any flow at all. Beck refuses to throw balls down the field, and holds on to it way too long. He had several throws deep yesterday and just didn't throw it. He doesn't seem to have good vision in the pocket at all. When team stack 10 people within 10 yards of the line of scrimmage, and you can't hit a couple or hell take a few shots down the field.....thats horrible. I dont think it was shannahan's play calling either because I saw receivers running down the field.

It is time to put Rex back in and see what he can do the rest of the season. I think HE gives us the best chance to win, not Beck.
As far as playing the younger guys, absolutely agree. Helu looked good all around. Would like to see him get 20 carries a game, but that wasn't happening yesterday. Hankerson looked solid.

Its going to be a process, which I think Shanahan should be given every opportunity to complete. He has had 1 1/2 years, that is way to short of a time to throw him under the bus. You need a few good drafts and offseasons to really get the talent to compete. He has done a good job of getting young talent, its time they play and get them the experience they need.

You two could enroll in the "Earthquake class of 2007 short posts."

The scary part about all of this is the Shanahan's had Beck rated the highest on their draft the year he came out!!!!!!! If that doesn't scary you about their ability to rate passer coupled with how they basically passed on a ton of QB talent in the last draft. I have been a big believer in them but they have royal fawked up the QB position which was suppose to be their specialty.

How about Carlos Rogers, ever have a bad job then got a good job but went back to visit your friends at the bad job just to say hi and you left smiling knowing you don't have to work in that shit hole anymore, that is great feeling. That was how Carlos felt yesterday.

Well, look first off who knows how true that really and secondly a lot of teams had Beck highly rated. Many thought he'd be a mid to late first round pick. So it's not like they're saying they had Jeff Rowe rated as their top QB that year

This won't be a problem once Atogwe returns, though the bigger issue is will Atogwe ever be healthy. Doughty is not a FS and I don't understand why the team insist in putting this guy at FS when he doesn't have the coverage skills.

You can only b*tch about a player so much, but at certain point the coaches' fault must be addressed. Doughty's situation is very similar to Rabach, well except that Rabach was an actual starter. The guy can't cover and one of the biggest issue with this defense has been the lack of a true cover safety. Why does Haslett insist on putting him out there when Atogwe is out?
