everyone except the x-boss, at this time its not clear. thats a hell of a crossfire, if it was crossfire. gotta wait and seen...doesnt change the fact that it is tragic. |
Re: People Shot Outside Empire State Building
Kelly and Bloomberg said it's possible some of the victims were shot accidentally by police who were engaged in a gunfight with the suspect.

Yes. B/c in this situation, the cross-fire created by the additional guns would have killed off those who accidentally killed others by their cross-fire. If only guns had been legal in NYC, they probably could have generated enough lead to clear the area of all innocent bystanders and leaving only the lawful gunmen. Sometimes, just sometimes, more guns are not the answer. |
Re: People Shot Outside Empire State Building
Yeah, the illegal guns argument doesn't hold much water to me when you can go across state lines and get one easily.

Sometimes, just sometimes, more guns are not the answer.
In this case, having a ban on guns did not stop this man from obtaining one and carrying it into his former place of employment and killing someone. All gun laws do is keep the honest man honest. Heck, and this is coming from someone who doesn't even own a gun. |

Re: People Shot Outside Empire State Building
Here's the story on the Empire State Building shootings from yesterday. Not sure how many people were shot, but it sounds like some civilians were hit when the police were trying to take down Jeff Johnson.
