Re: Snyder is getting to much credit
There are conflicting reports about how much the Giants outbid us. One story says it wasn't close and another says it almost nothing. Gibbs said it was for barely a little more so I tend to believe him. Pierec walked for money. He is dead to me.
There is still an ex Titan out there in Andre Dyson who would be a lot cheaper than Rolle and Smoot and isn't that much of a drop off.
I like Dyson, think he could be on the cusp of greatness. I hear he's visiting with the Seahawks though and could be close to a deal with them. Any big names on the market for 2006? |
Re: Snyder is getting to much credit
Its all about the cash....plain and simple, no loyalty except to the almight greenback.

Re: Snyder is getting to much credit
Losing Smoot is no surprise and I think the team knew this day was coming and were already planning for it.
Pierce on the other hand was a surprise and I think they knew losing him was a possibility, but they probably thought chances were good they could re-sign him. |
Re: Snyder is getting to much credit
It will be interesting to see if this changes our draft plans. It's hard to tell. Remember last year how we were all sold on Kellen Winslow. And we went defensive. Would it be a surprise to trade Gardner to someone that can put us in position to get pac-man?

Re: Snyder is getting to much credit
we werent all sold on winslow though... I yelled taylor from day one and the polls on the washington times website had 72% of respondents saying they rather draft taylor.
the papers pushed a lot of articles on winslow and only one of taylor which may have altered people's perception of who was more wanted here... I know theres at least one other person here who wanted taylor as much as i did, though i'm not sure why... ;) |
Re: Snyder is getting to much credit
How do we feel about Erasmus James?

Re: Snyder is getting to much credit
What team doesn't have these problems? All that I hope is that Greg Willaims has most of the say when it comes to players on the defensive side of the ball and that Gibbs seeks the advice necessary to fix the offensive woes we had last year. All Cerrato and Snyder has to do is scout and sign respectively. :oink:

Re: Snyder is getting to much credit
EJ is good, but i rather get one of the top two WRs if i had the chance.

Re: Snyder is getting to much credit
Bottom line Snyder is damned if he does, and damned if he doesn't, if we sign free agent's his spending is out of control, if he let's guy's walk he should have signed them, at some point we have to look to the draft to build our team not free agency.

I think after the team interviewed Winslow it went down hill from there.....the guy was arrogant and his character didn't fit Gibbs mold.....and he showed his character by blasting the Redskins and told Gibbs he would show him when the Browns played the Redskins.......and he gets hurt and can't play..poetic justice.. GLAD WE DIDN'T GET WINSOW!!!!!!!!!! |
