I like Chad Ford's analysis on the Bobcat's pick of Zeller:

"Once again I think the Bobcats have blown it."

Solid pick

I'm not really understanding the Sixers getting Noel when they have Bynum

Trey Burke to Utah is a nice move

F'n Zeller? Wtf? I feel like MJ is trying to punk Daniel Stern. That's a worse pick than when Bowie got taken before him.

So to summarize, the wizards came into tonight with three picks but after a trade with Philly the wizards draft is

Otto Porter
Glenn Rice Jr.

I guess Bynum is still somewhat of a question mark. The fact they got an extra first next year (in addition to Noel) is a solid come up. Without Holiday, you figure Sixers are tanking hard next season in what's going to be a great draft. They'll have their own lottery pick (barring some miracle where they actually make the playoffs) and a late first in a strong draft.

Agreed on Utah- they've found their court general. In the same trade, Minny did the best they could once Detroit scooped Caldwell-Pope right before their pick. They got the wing scorer needed in Muhammed and Dieng, whose tenacious D (not Jack Black) complements Love's offense down low.

Well that's what I mean. You've already got one 7 footer with a bad knee, so why add another?

Weird draft. It's more fun when the talent is such that everyone is scrambling all at once.

Good move by Ernnie to get Glen Rice Jr. Really nice move.

Folks the teams has really nice young talent. Sux Ariza opted in. But I expect playoffs this year.

Would have been great to see Glen Rice Jr and Tim Hardaway Jr get picked by the same team...would be like watching a game in the 90s. :D

Nerlins to Nawlins.

I'm a Bulls fan and excited about Tony Snell. He seems to be a Durant-type player, tall and long arms and can hit shots from anywhere. 40% shooter and 47% on pull-up jumpers in college.

Solid pick. Their other pick Erik Murphy is no one exciting. Don't understand that one...they're already stocked up at PF, but he can apparently shoot well from the outside as a big man.

The Bullets (my second-favorite team) had two GREAT picks with Porter and Rice. If Wall stays healthy, they could be a contender for a playoff spot. Future looking bright.

I understand Boston moving away from their "Big 3" days by getting rid of the final two in KG and PP, but they got a ton of old guys back along with the draft picks. They're now locked in to a long-term rebulid and have thrown in the towel for this year already.

It makes even less sense for Brooklyn. They unloaded some mediocre vets and picked up two guys at the ends of their career in return...along with losing their draft picks for 3 years.

I guess the Nets are going to try to go all in and win this year with no plans for the future. Could work. They'll have a solid roster but it won't last long.
