I see you didn't say "win", what's he gonna do - go Hernandez on Griffin?

Re: Thoughts on the NFL

I'll go out on a limb and say neither Baltimore nor Pittsburgh make the playoffs. Not sure when that last happened, but it's been probably at least a decade

I also think changes to the NFL will be so gradual people won't ever really realize. And I think all pro sports leagues will eventually become global in some way. Meaning teams across the pond

At least somebody believes that the Cleveland Browns will Win the Division this year !!!!! I would be surprised honestly if neither makes the playoffs , I hope you are right though. Interesting thought on global sports , now we can whip China , Russia and the rest of them once a year !

Bengals should win the North, but I dont think it will be a cake walk. Id see Cleveland, Baltimore and Pittsburg all being .500 teams.

WTF! Do you think you know something about his character that led you to that conclusion?

The only thing I can find on JR is that he was supposedly benched the rest of the sugar bowl, some say because Mushchamp was questioning his heart, others say that he got into an argument with Mushchamp, and JR says that they took him out because was injured.
Post your thoughts or musings on the NFL, the Redskins, or football in general. Hopefully, this will give us something to discuss during this slow offseason. If this thread is too similar to the "It Remains to be Seen" thread, please delete it, mods. I'm not expecting anybody to answer all of these; just some things to think about.

1. Cincinnati and Houston will play for the AFC championship.

2. The Redskins will finish the regular season at 11-5.

3. Will people ever become so obsessed with safety in football that it will eventually be outlawed or look nothing like the current product?

4. D.J. Hayden will perform the best of all the rookies and will easily make the Pro Bowl.

5. What are the chances that in 10 years the Redskins will have a different name?

6. If you could choose one offensive player, one defensive player, and one special team player to build a long-term team around, who would they be?

7. Which player in the NFL will suffer a career-ending injury this season?

8. I don't think the 49ers are the real deal. I think their success will be over in a year or two.

9. Did any of you play college football? Are any of you closely related to an NFL player?

10. If you could change one thing in the NFL, what would it be?
The over pussification of the league has gotten so out of hand. I honestly think the league would want flags put on the QB's. Games now can and are being decided by calls of the refs. For the most part, they got it right in the Super Bowl and hopefully we'll see more game called like that one. But I doubt it.

Re: Thoughts on the NFL

1) The Giants will win the division, but the Redskins will be a wildcard and beat the Giants in their stadium.

2) Either Pittsburgh, New England, or Houston will represent the AFC in the superbowl. It depends which team has their key player healthy (Big Ben, Gronk, and Cushing). Everyone has counted them out so I like their chances.

3) Everybody will jump on the Broncos bandwagon, which they already seem to be according to SI and ESPN, they will go 12-4 and will be one and done in the playoffs. Just like the Peyton Manning led Colts.

4) 49ers will not win the NFC West.

5) Chiefs make the playoffs

6) Drew Brees wins the NFL regular season MVP. Saints will be 13-3 or 12-4.

7) Eagles start 5-1, finish 6-10.

8) Once the season is over, a major player with superstar status will come out and tell the world he is gay.

9) This superbowl will have more people watch it than any other superbowl in NFL history.

10) The last team to win the last game of the NFL season will be the superbowl champion.
I am sick of beating the eventual Super Bowl champs... I want to be the SB champs and honestly I believe we will have our chance soon. This year, next, or the year after we will be back to the dance. I firmly believe that.

I do have a question though, I know people were comparing Reed to AH back when that all went down but why do you believe he has attitude problems? I have not ever heard this as being a problem for him and when you think of how he made the transition from QB ( why he was recruited to FL ) to TE/HB/hybrid player with pretty good success. It would seem to me he is a hard worker who slipped due to his raw ability and the perceived ability of those players selected ahead of him in the draft.
I'm not predicting it's going to happen, it's just something I've been wondering about. But, there are a few things that have made me wonder. Jordan Reed says he learned to play TE by watching Aaron Hernandez play. Now, that probably doesn't mean much, but still...

Reed also had attitude problems at Florida, which put him on the bench a few times. He's complained about how hard the Redskins' playbook is, and he's also voiced his displeasure that the team has so many meetings. Like I said, I'm not saying it's going to happen, but there is the possibility.

7. I actually think this is pretty accurate. The Eagles will come out firing with their new high-powered offense, but defenses will quickly figure it out. The Redskins will be only team in that 5-1 stretch who beats them.

9. I agree, because it will have one the most exciting quarterbacks(RG3), the NFL's leading rusher(Morris), and an emotional leader on defense who's trying to win a Super Bowl just before he retires(Fletcher).

10. No s***, Sherlock.

When did he complain about the playbook or voice his displeasure about too many meetings?
