Re: Hey, why are you on this team?
if i heard the same sound bite you did ... RG3 uses a lot of cliche "take care of the small details and the big things will come", "trying to be the best that I can be", "all I can worry about is what i can control to help this team win".
he does sound depressed and jaded. hes a complicated dude. a good bit self-inflicted .... but sensitive.
He does speak in cliche a lot, doesn't he? I understand what he's trying to do. He wants to remain positive, he wants to keep conflict to a minimum, but you're right, he does sound a big depressed and jaded. I love RGIII, though, I want him to succeed so badly - and of course succeed as a Redskin. With that said, I'm afraid what might, ultimately, be best for III and the Redskins is for them to part ways. That's why I no longer see a future with him on this team past 2015. Heck, I still wouldn't put it past the 'skins to trade him on draft day. We all know the 'skins won't pick up his fifth year option, so what message does that send to Robert? Personally, I know he's having a hard time dealing with that mentally. With that said, regardless of what happens in this up and coming year, I think Robert will be gone. As for others...well, Polumbus was the one that I always questioned why he was still on the team. He's now gone. LeRibeus is another one. Probably anyone on that offensive line not named Trent Williams. Honestly though, when you look at it, Scot McCloughan is doing a pretty good job of limiting this question. |
Did anyone hear him the other day on Larry Michael? I had to turn it off cause I just can't listen to Griffin talk. He honestly thinks the team revolves around him. He is such an egomaniac, and I'd be fine with it if he could play, but he can't.
Mitchell pretty much sums it up: Brian Mitchell takes issue with RG3's latest comments about offense | Comcast SportsNet Washington |

agreed. |
Re: Hey, why are you on this team?
DHall has had a pay cut once before to help the team, to make room just to win. Whos to say he wouldn't do the same again? Even if he loses a step hed still outrun every DB on the roster. If he can get back, no way should we let him go. Im a Hall guy.

Ditto. Nobody is rooting for him to fail. |
Re: Hey, why are you on this team?
You're probably right on Porter, he probably won't make the roster. But unless you need the cap space to sign somebody else, there's no reason to jettison him now. Might as well bring him to camp and let him compete, who knows we may find D-Hall will never be the same, and all of a sudden might need Porter to be our #4 CB.
I don't expect that, but why rush the decision. Same goes for every bum currently on the roster. We don't have an impact free agent about to sign imminently, so why make a move? You might want to change the tone of this thread to focus on who has no prayer of making the roster.
That's what it all boils down to, not making moves before you have to. Real life is not like Madden where you cut half your team once the season is over. |
