Re: It's here. The Regular Season Record Prediction Thread.
Think we are going 7-9....commitment to the running game and better defense will get us there. Special teams and qb play killing us per the norm these days...

:laughing-
Thats funny as hell and not funny all at the same time. Its to early to predict without seeing the 3rd game.1st string defense so far has been very unimpressive.I think Stafford was 6-8 last week and 1 pass was dropped.1st game they let Cleveland look like playoff team. If def has improved and either Kirk or Colt starts 9-10 wins are possible,If Griff starts 6 wins.If the defense hasnt improved its probably 7 wins tops no matter who the qb is. |
Re: It's here. The Regular Season Record Prediction Thread.
I see an improved defense and an offense that will struggle. The O may find a rhythm in the second half of the season once the Oline finds its way as a unit.
I had hope for this year, but that was relying in large part to RG III's progression in the offense. Which he has not shown at all. I have no faith in Kirk Cousins and maybe McCoy will win a game or two but he will end up hurt as well. McCoy is one concussion away from retirement. So with a lack of a winning QB on the team. My guess is we have a bad record again. Another top 5 pick and a new coach next year. |

Gruden won't commit to the running game. My guess is we find out just how far out of his depth he is. |
Re: It's here. The Regular Season Record Prediction Thread.
I am hoping for a better record than last although the Detroit game has me seriously doubting that now.
I am predicting 6-10. Defense looks to be improved. A strong running game and hit a few passes and we just might win a couple more games. |
Re: It's here. The Regular Season Record Prediction Thread.
If we're worried about the starting secondary, I would wait until the regular season to see. We've missed starters here and there all preseason and that one reason we're seeing starting QBs eat us up (in addition to the cover three). Clean up tackling, get starters back, I think the secondary will be a ton better.
If we have one injury back there, yikes. |
Re: It's here. The Regular Season Record Prediction Thread.
6-10 or 7-9
Defense much improved Cousins is starter for most of season Biggest improvement is team compete level and reputation for physically punishing the opponent. |
Re: It's here. The Regular Season Record Prediction Thread.
7-9 at best imo. Too much drama going on and griffin is already out for this next game. Dude is never healthy it's becoming a joke. Cousins will win the job soon.

Re: It's here. The Regular Season Record Prediction Thread.
Its a three scenario season.
#1 - Griffin plays most of the season and we win six or seven games. #2 - Griffin gets hurt early, Cousins come in and plays like he has and we win six or seven games. #3 Griffin gets hurt early, Cousins comes in shedding his interception hang over and we win nine games. |
Re: It's here. The Regular Season Record Prediction Thread.
6-10 seems reasonable... hopefully.
Well,
I think I have started one of these for the last 3 seasons. And I was always high on kool-aid when I did it. If anyone is high this year, I very seriously doubt that it's on the Redskins Kool-aid. More likely Denver's brownies. BUT The new season starts in 2 weeks, and predictions MUST be made. So, What will we see this year. Will we go to the Super Bowl, or is the 1st overall ours without trading? Will we add another year of last place NFC East, maybe we should trade with Arizona and be the cardinals, let them be the Redskins. (I'm kidding), or will there be a miracle at Fedex that finds us leading the way. Make your predictions, the poll will be public, so be prepared to defend the good, the bad, and the ugly. EDIT: oops, 1 too many brownies when i put the numbers up. I guess people will get to pick a good 9(9-12) or bad 9(8-9) and wowser on the last options...
Too much drama and who knows what will transpire in the first 6 weeks of a rather tough schedule. Anymore injuries n the D and we are pretty much a bottom feeder for sure. I voted for 4-7 wins. I have to agree with MattyK though and will brace myself for a repeat of 2014. Just too much garbage going on at Redskins Park at the moment. I am expecting two more major losses due to injury as well. It has been a rather unlucky preseason thus far. |

It's funny that you say this, because I feel that McCloughan is building Seattle #2, and I'm wondering if his vision of a run first/strong defense type of team will ever conflict with Gruden's vision of a passing offense. |
Re: It's here. The Regular Season Record Prediction Thread.
I voted 4-7 (voted with my eyes, not my heart)
I think we'll be somewhat better, but not by a lot Qb play will be better in year 2 vs. year 1...just because our qb's are more confortable I really don't have a read yet whether Def, ST or O-line will be improved or stay the same |
Re: It's here. The Regular Season Record Prediction Thread.
I predict the Skins will win enough games and garner enough positive interest so that the game replays will be aired other than just 4 am.
I'm real tired...... |
