Chalk me up as another pass. Don't need anything messing up what we've got going on.
Even if he was, based on the CBA, failing a drug test for pot is really failing an IQ test in the NFL. They are only testing during certain times of the year.

Failing a pot test means he is an idiot.

Agree with the other posters. Keep our picks and pass.

Gordon and Dez could be great leaders in Dallas.
Does this mean we should get rid of TW? You know, Trent being such an idiot for failing a pot test.

Btw, they only test during certain times of the year when you are not in the drug program. Once in it, they are random and done year round.

I personally dont think McC will want to worry about the headache, so I doubt we need to worry about it. Especially if it involves giving up a pick. Vinny thought draft picks worth worthless, McC believes they are gold, even lower ones.

I know you're not in favor of bringing in Gordon but I have to call out this ridiculous "logic". Bringing in a new player with a history of being dumb enough to get caught multiple times is far different than cutting YOUR OWN PLAYER and taking a massive cap hit because of one transgression.

It's an apples and broccoli comparison.

Im just calling out the logic that anyone who fails a drug test in the NFL is an idiot, well except certain people. If it applies to one person, it applies to all of them. DYoung is the one who said that TW "Failed an IQ test" therefore making him an idiot. He wasnt talking about Josh Gordon with those statements, he was talking about every single player that has ever failed a drug test due to pot. If you are going to make generalizations about one thing, you cant pick and choose who it applies to. If he means we should keep all of our pot smokers (TW, Breeland, etc) but not take on anyone elses, then he should have said that.

Sweeping generalizations are a bitch. Dont make them if you arent going to back them.

Clev is so short on talent , especially on offense. I would expect Jackson to try and get through to him and not let him go. If he's being thrown out there as trade bait and if you're SM, you at least have to make a phone call.

Super talented guy, if only he could get his head on straight.
But why would the Browns want to let him go now? If they were going to do that, wouldn't they have done it when he got suspended?

Why wait all the way through the suspension until reinstatement? There's a new GM and coach in town there, you have to figure they'll look at it as a blank slate for him.

I doubt he's even on the market, not much point discussing.
They didn't release him because they wanted a draft pick for him. I still insist that is partially why we hung onto Griffin. They want no part of a potential issue with a new coach and GM they want their guys.
good player when he can get on the field. we don't need another WR though.
I doubt very seriously that we keep both Jackson and Garcon and then we desperately need another receiver and even if they both stay neither is really a #1 like Gordon can be.

Didn't Riggins get kicked out of NY for booze and that was back then, he worked out okay on his second chance.

He had three (3) thu-ree suspensions and a DWI.
Why the feck would anyone want that kind of trouble generator on this team?
The guy is a freakin moron.

Re: Josh Gordon applies for reinstatment

pros > cons = SM will sign him.

imo it depends on whether Gordon is a dummy who loves football or a dummy who is good at football. if it is the former, i think SM would consider him like he probably considers every potential obscure player and move under the sun.
