RK is a very good player and pro bowler...I think this team and its fans really yearn to have that dominating defensive line/pass rusher again. Its been so long.

If Preston Smith can be more consistent, if Jonathan Allen can return healthy, if Innonaidis can build off this breakout year....if if if

If Allen and Matty I stay healthy next year everything else will fall in place. Smith was really benefiting from their play early on.

How did Zach Brown not make it? I don't understand that.

If we stay in the 3-4, the next step is a space eater at NT and that could propel the entire d-line. We get blown off the los in the middle of this Dline way too often on first and second downs.

If we move to 4-3, this wouldn't be a need. Allen, Matty, McGee, Lanier, McClain would be a solid rotation at DT.

Lanier you could play at left DE in a 4-3. The Phillip Daniels / Renaldo Wynn spot. You want that player capable of rushing the passer and pushing the pocket but you want them more stout than a 250 pound speed rushing end. They have to set the edge.

A guy like Galette wouldn't fit will in a 4-3. Which is fine, obv.

Or maybe you let Kerrigan take that spot and find a superstar speed rushing type on the other side. Ideally.

Lanier is the guy that could end up being a STAR, that dude has a great motor and gets to the QB. I believe he has 5 sacks in the last 5 games or something like that..

Yes this team needs that feared rusher, look at D Lawrence for Dallas, that dude is a monster and is young. He makes that d so good, yes Lee is great but Lee doesn't create pressure.

Yeah very surprising.
That's all I'm saying: to me he deserves to be there more than Kerrigan. Not hating on Ryan, again he's very good.
But how he's judged better at his position than the leading tackler in the NFL, I don't understand.

All Pro is the more critically chosen award, Pro Bowl is more for fun

Trent and Brandon should both be AP

Good for Kerrigan, Trent and Scherff.

I guess Zach, while racking up tackle stats, really hasnt had big splash plays. 2.5 sacks with no forced fumbles or ints. I say good for us, may make signing him to a LTD a little cheaper.

Kendall and Swearinger also could be added.
Kendall 51 tackles, 8 PD, 4 ints
Swearinger 64, 9 and 3

Man Kerrigan starting? His numbers always greatly outweigh his impact. Mostly meaningless sacks. I just do not see a dominant havoc wreaking end when i watch him play. Not even close. But whatever.

My point has always been if you have a guy that can put up double digit sacks you’ve got a keeper. I know everyone wants the dominant rusher that puts up crazy totals but those guys are rare. Kerrigan is just a rock solid player, good dude on and off the field too. No he’s not a superstar but who cares. Doesn’t mean he’s not worthy of a Pro Bowl nod. Find someone else to complain about.

I agree. Which is why i say Trent doesn't get the love he deserves, IIRC Tyron Smith always gets the all-pro.
