Jacobs could be better than Gardner. I think it has to be between Gardner and Jacobs. I dont think McCants ( and dont get me wrong, cause I love this guy), is a #2 type reciver. I just dont think he could excel being a every single down in the game type reciver. I think one of the reasons he can come in and make such big plays, is because he matches up very very well against the guys who will be on him. Does anyone agree?
I don't think that's fair to Taylor Jacobs. First off, he was hurt most of the year trying to adjust to the NFL. Second, you could make that same argument for any college player, look great in college but not good enough in the pros.....
Isn't that the pot calling the kettle black!
Because all of you Gardner haters have been so fair to Gardner. Gardner had a good rookie year in the NFL. He proved himself in the NFL! Jacobs has proven nothing in the NFL.
I admit under Spurriers chuck and duck Bullshit college system, Gardner did not play well. However many NFL experts predicted Gardner would not do well in Spurier's system because it does not lend itself to big recievers like Gardner and the system was unproven in the NFL.
Didn't Stephen Davis have the same problem his last year here? He proved with the Panthers that he was not the problem, Spurrier's system was. Is it fair to judge Gardners play during the years we had a bad coach and offensive system? Everyone looked bad!

Personally I think Gardner should be traded before Trotter

Especially Spurrier. I wish I could have helped him pack. :stop:

I don't think Taylor Jacobs has a chance to become the #2 wide reciever. He's just another Gator. No Gators reciever has seen anything more than marginal success in the NFL. None of them dominate and I don't think he'll be any different. Even in the preseason when he was healthy he showed me nothing and it was a system he had just played in 2 years ago. I don't think we should cut him by any means, but I don't think he's got a shot at winning the number 2 spot for the Skins.

If they say a player has potential after a minicamp practice this year it has a lot more clout than if it was said under the nonchalent practices we held last year. All of our players will be more prepared. It doesnt me they will make the probowl, but it should me we will be able to win more of the close games than we did last year.
