Re: Texans Pre-Game Thread
TH qbr now is 47.2…below avg but higher than Kyler Murray, Matt Ryan, Russel Wilson, Baker Mayfield, .Mac Jones, and of course, Wentz

Re: Texans Pre-Game Thread
Funny how quick the pregame threads come after a win. Lol
Houston has literally been in every game. Dont be fooled by their record. Im going to make a bold prediction though. We blow someone out. I know. I know. Us- 33 Them - 16 |
It would be a DC thing to do to come off a top 5 win of the Snyder era and follow it up to losing to one of the worst teams in the league.
Hope the boys don't fall into the trap.
|
Re: Texans Pre-Game Thread
So will it be Carson or Taylor under center on Sunday?
200 percent Taylor. |
Re: Texans Pre-Game Thread
I can't imagine it won't be Taylor. 3-1 as a starter and just helped take down the 8-0 Eagles on MNF at home? I expect that there will be a story about it being a short week and the team not being sure that Carson is quite at 100% to soften the blow, however. If TH plays well (admittedly against a weaker opponent), then they can cement him as the starter after next week. If not, then they can go to Carson. But for now, I can see them wanting to kick the can down the road for another week on this decision.
That makes sense - kicking the can down the road for another week. It's a legit question though. I still feel like when this team wins it is despite TH, not necessarily because of him. However, I suppose you also can't underestimate how the team seems to rally behind him. In a way it isn't good though in my opinion, because I don't like the idea that they don't play their best when someone else is under center... Like they really bring it when TH is the QB, but not so much when CW is...? |

Floating the ball into deep coverage is always a terrible idea. So you want him to be confident, but not "I can do anything" confident. No doubt the squad rallies behind him though, knowing any game could be his last. I expect this ride to continue until he has another "lost all my confidence and I have 47 passing yards at the half" type performance. |

I was about to post this. Short week with a hangover. No way this team is coached up in time. |
Re: Texans Pre-Game Thread
I'd consider driving down for this game if Houston wasn't so boring on offense
|
Re: Texans Pre-Game Thread
After 10 weeks Washington lead all teams in average time of possession, and I will go out on a limb and say they will lead by a wider margin after week 11. Should be a similar game plan since Houston has been even worse at stopping the run than Philadelphia. A lot of Robinson & Gibson, with Curtis (our Deebo) Samuel sprinkled in.

Turner is the key. Will he revert back to his pass happy ways? I hope he realizes running is their strength and sticks with it. |
Re: Texans Pre-Game Thread
I listened to Ron earlier , no chance Wentz starts Sunday
|
Re: Texans Pre-Game Thread
We have 2 previous QB's in TE's Thomas and Rogers. I want to see some trick passes from those guys, get creative.

Not sure i want to see Logan passing the ball, but id love to see him become a pass catching threat and redzone target again. |

If you saw Terry interview with Van Pelt you'd also say no way in hell Carson plays another down unless TH gets injured or is THAT bad. And I agree with Terry. That was an emotional fucking interview. |
