Re: Washington Free Agents Signings
chin's play is replaceable. he's been here and knows things, but If someone offers crazy money, we probably don't chase.
also, this draft may have 30 RBs taken, potential starters down in the 5th round. So we probably don't do anything in FA there. |
Re: Washington Free Agents Signings
[Schefter] Washington reached agreement with former 49ers and Jets DT Javon Kinlaw, who rejoins Commanders GM Adam Peters after the two worked together in SF.

Also, who’s the replacement for Allen? They are going to need another rotation DT…I would think who maybe play the run stouter? Or a 1 technique to let them change it up inside?[/quote] Javon Kinlaw, DT from Jets. 3ys/45 million/30 guaranteed. He was a 49er before his year with Jets. |
Re: Washington Free Agents Signings
Not really the DT I would have targeted, but they got that connection with Peters

Re: Washington Free Agents Signings
I’m really waiting on a special OT or OG signing.

At first glance, I dont get Kinlaw, he doesn't seem better than allen, who was a Captain, and not cheaper either and has a knee injury history. The only thing is he is 27. For below average stats, why not just draft a guy and save 10M a year? Or just keep Allen for a year while you groom a drafted guy? At first glance this seems like a biased hire, since I assume Peters drafted him. His performance doesnt seem to match the $ |

going be interesting if these guys don't work out and AP is just RR but instead panther retreads we have niner retreads ok going back to been optimistic |
Re: Washington Free Agents Signings
AP must really like him and thinks they can coach him up to his potential here.

Re: Washington Free Agents Signings
I wouldn’t be too quick to write him off. 9ers picked him in round 1 for a reason.
