Re: Goodbye Kwame.....
Have any of you heard about this? Rumors I'm hearing say that the Wizards are very close to signing Antonio Daniels, which would give them a big, true point guard who doesn't turn the ball over.
They then plan on trading Chucky Atkins, meaning we would lose a legit 3-point shooter, along with Blake or Dixon and probably Jeffries to Atlanta most likely for Al Harrington and maybe a pick. Daniels is solid and it would probably mean Arenas at the 2 and Butler back at his natural SF spot, but I was kind of looking forward to Atkins being here |
Re: Goodbye Kwame.....
I think that trade would be a push.

Re: Goodbye Kwame.....
well ESPN just said Daniels to the Wizards 5 years, $30 million. This is very similar to the Arenas signing. He was being courted by many teams then it seemed like out of nowhere came the Wizards to get GA.
Long term I don't care much for the deal (too much money for a 30 year old PG), but I think he can make an immediate positive impact on the team. |
Re: Goodbye Kwame.....
i like the deal a lot... daniels was the guy i wanted from the beginning of FA... tall PG that can also play the 2. excellent on ball perimeter defender (better than Hughes IMO- Larry played lanes well hence his steals, but he couldn't defend anyone with a post game at that position). AD is also fearless to the hoop. The Wiz have upgraded their defensive game while creating a more effective half court offense (their bigs should get more involved with AD at the point). With Gil, Caron, and AD this is a tough squad.
If we were to nab harrington, this is a super offseason. |

kwame's gone, its already super.

Re: Goodbye Kwame.....
Did anyone see the spread in ESPN magazine about Kwame? It wasn't a negative article, but they were really stretching for good things to say about him.
