Re: Antonio Brown
yeah but will he muff punts?

Re: Antonio Brown
I feel pretty confident that Brown will make the final roster. I don't think Gibbs is the type to make a switch based on one game - which means that Farris isn't going to be on the roster and Brown will be on the roster.
I disagree with whoever said, "lets not blame Brown 100%." How can you blame Brunell?? Did he hit Brown in the hands too hard? That one deep pass was a perfectly thrown ball. It almost seems like Brown has concentration issues but I have a strange feeling that he is the type of player who can learn how to be more consistent catching the ball. |
Re: Antonio Brown
It's hilarious to see how Brown's stock has dropped so dramatically with some people after one game.

Has he in the past? |
Re: Antonio Brown
Just that one at Dallas (or was that a kickoff?).
Wow.
By my (admittedly 5 drink) count, he had 4 drops. That's a bad half season. Did Antonio Brown play himself out of a job tonight?
In your defense BrudLee, you are as you say a genius! If he played himself out, I understand C. Morton is both out of work and available! |
Re: Antonio Brown
i'd chalk it up to a bad night... he's looked good in other games and practices. I mean, he did get open and the ball wouldn't have been thrown to him the last two times if anyone else could have got the first downs, so he's getting seperation fine.
I thought JT's comment on slowing down and keeping your head level so you don't lose the ball was interesting. Either way, i'd send him to catch 100 balls a day and forget it happened. |
Re: Antonio Brown
Moss and Patten are locks to make the team. Thrash will stay as a 4th receiver since he helps as a special teamer, 2nd KR, and leader in the locker room. So it comes down to Dyson, Jacobs, Brown, Farris, and Parsons. Parsons had some decent returns last night (mainly due to missed tackles), but he hasn't done enough as a receiver to stay. Dyson provides veteran leadership, but since we already have that in Thrash and Patten, he will probably go. That leaves us with Jacobs, Brown, and Farris. If Jacobs returns to health, he will be in the rotation. Brown is too valuable as a return specialist to sit on the practice squad, and I expect we'll use him in a "Hail Mary" situation. Farris might make the practice squad after last night's game.

Re: Antonio Brown
I think we keep Farris as a practice squad guy. I just dont see how we could let Antonio Brown go. Apparently he has had a tremendous offseason, he has performed on special teams and gives us a threat that only one other person on the team (S.Moss) could provide, in my opinion. I dont think Santana Moss should do Punts or Kickoffs, because I dont want to see him hurt there. I get really excited watching Antinio Brown, and after last night, my opinion of him isnt changed at all. I just don't think he will see the feild on offense.
