I'm amazed (and appalled) that we're even talking about the possibility of signing T.O. :vomit:
No one could have said it better, and I agree wholeheartedly. How on earth can anyone who is a true fan of the team consider wanting this guy on the team? We've gone through this before, there is nothing, did I say that right? "NOTHING" this guy brings that will equal the trouble he causes. We have enough problems already, why want for a guy whom we've just watched blow-up two different teams right in front of our eyes? I just feel sorry for whoever fools with this guy, and I certainly hope our organization has not lost it just yet.

The ruling is in over on NFL.com. T.O. must sit out another game. I wonder what happens for the last 4 games of the year?

I pray to God, Allah, Yahweh, and Gibbs that we don't sign him....even for 4 weeks.

Bravo. Glad to see Turdell will not get his way. I hope this sends a message to the entire league that nobody is above their team.

Well hate or love TO he's among the best in the league. If we were playoff bound and we could sign him for 4 games, why not? Long term? Hell no. Let the Chiefs or Cowboys get into the trouble. It's truly a shame that he's such a jackass that he can't even stay on a team without causing distractions. That's not a team player. Losing the Superbowl with the Eagles is just glorious! But for 4 games? I'd sign him. Especially with our WR core finishing the season.

Well I could take his BS for a few weeks to lead us into the playoffs but long term?

Forget about it. Won't happen in DC. Not with Gibbs and not with teams like the Ravens, Cowboys, Falcons and Chiefs in need or want of a star WR!!!

Re: Eagles may release WR to avoid further controversy

The funny thing is that if the Eagles did release him one of the teams to have first crack at him would be the Ravens, the same team he vehemently rejected a trade to when he was with the Niners. Wouldn't it cool to see him eat crow (or raven) and end up signing on with B-more for the rest of the season?

I can't, under any circumstances, see T.O. going to the Ravens. There is too much bad blood between T.O. and them.

if TO Is released SIGN HIM!!!

If only for the rest of this season, but see if he takes the double coverage away from moss.

It's impossible. We don't have the cap room.

Moot point.

Re: Eagles may release WR to avoid further controversy

In the 80's and early 90's, we had three great receivers. I remember looking at stats, and seeing Monk, Sanders, and Clark in the top 10-15.

I can see signing him on a contingency, get him this year, and if he is a good boy, next year. After that, see ya. I don't think you can turn a zebra's stripes. Bottom line for him, if he is to keep playing, he needs to straighten his act up. That doesn't matter which team he is with.

Thing is, if we don't get him, I don't think Jerry Jones would have any doubt about picking him up. Then, we would be screwed.
