Re: Antonio Brown - electric feet....but electric hands too!
Great physical skills but iffy mental judgment ability. I hope he continues to improve.

I like the occasional punt return threat of Santana Moss!

Re: Antonio Brown - electric feet....but electric hands too!
i love the threat of brown back there because he is almost like he has a chance to go all the way every time he touches the ball.one thing i can guarantee is if he muffs or fumbles just once on saturday, his day will be done.on thrash, the only thing he gives you as a returner is guaranteed possesion, thats it(although thats a big one)no return skills at all,the king of fair catch

You're kidding, right? My heart drops anytime I see them put our only wide receiver back there to field a punt! |
Re: Antonio Brown - electric feet....but electric hands too!
Nah, I hate to see them call a play where Santana Moss is on punt returns..to me that is waaaay too risky. It would detrimental if Moss was to get hurt.
I agree with the suggestion someone else made on the board. Use A. Brown only for kickoffs in the remaining games, and field Moss or Thrash or Farris on punts. The Giants suck on kick-off and punt coverage (look at their game against the Minn. Viqueens) - so look forward to Antonio Brown taking a kickoff to the house next week.
|
Re: Antonio Brown - electric feet....but electric hands too!
I find it strange that people are so reluctant to put Moss back to return kicks but have no problem with our starting DB's, a postion that we are thin at, as our gunners on punts. Why do you think Carlos Rogers is hurt? If we're putting the balls to the wall on every other ST unit, why not throw Moss in there a few times? I doubt he would get hurt, he's pretty damn elusive. He probably has just as much chance to get hurt as he does on any other play.

more plays = higher overall risk... he's smaller than almost everyone on the team and the returners take more hits than gunners (that can jump out of bounds to run past people). I agree that if we're throwing out our entire starting secondary on special teams that one more starter isn't an exceptionaly higher risk for one game, but losing moss would kill our offense. |
Re: Antonio Brown - electric feet....but electric hands too!
I would like to see us do a latteral today on a kick off, kinda like the music city mirical, or even a reverse on kickoff. I wonder why Gibbs hasnt done that yet this go around? He used to do it on some what of a reagular basis, you know the trick special team play...
If we do it I bet we would get a touchdown, the giants would bite on something like that so hard they would look like highschoolers out there as Moss or Brown streaked up the sideline... |
