On the extremeskins site, about 250 fans voted that Ramsey had not had a fair shake as a Redskin by a margin of almost exactly two to one.
Well then it must be gospel! :biggthump
How would you know he does it better than Campbell who hasn't played?

I guess he's just a fast reader.
Brunell starts because he has the experience to read defenses and make the right decision on the play. First and second year QBs get "played" by good NFL defenses. It didn't help Alex Smith to start in San Francisco as a rookie. The Niners would have won a few more games with Tim Rattay, even if Rattay has less talent than Smith. Young quarterbacks are almost always better off if they can get tutored and study film their first two or three seasons before they are regular starters.

This is NOT a knock on Campbell, just a comment on his experience. In another season, Patrick Ramsey is going to be a fine quarterback for someone.

We're talking about different things.

I was talking about the "reads" that are designed into pass plays...going from one receiver to the next if the first isn't open.

Too early to tell. We should revisit this after free agency, the draft, and training camp. Then, after cuts, injuries, and a talent preview, we can give some educated guesses.

Let's put a lid on this super bowl talk. It's March.

Im gonna go ahead and say
1) Im think 11-12 wins next season
2) if we're in the playoffs again next year and get out of the first round, im happy.
3)skins mvp will be portis with a 1500 yds rushing season
4) Although i do have tremendous hopes for us next year im a little worried about the offensive line holding up, brunell's gettin too old for bein under pressure every play

With the improvement to 10-6, going to playoffs, offense going from 30th to 11th, Portis and Moss both breaking Franchise records last year, Brunell having argubely his best season in 06, the hiring of Al Saunders, the hiring of GW's old defensive coordinator, the last wave of FA signings . . .

this lid you speak of just got thrown out the window . . .so be happy that we can even entertain the idea of the super bowl, unlike Houston, Tennessee, Cleveland, 49er's, Cardinals, etc.

two words . . .THINK BIG

paper improvements... we can't be sure how it works out until we see it on TV.

I want to see who we draft, if we lose anyone in camp or the preseason, what our opponents' rosters look like, who our opponents lose to injury before the start of the regular season, etc. before I make any firm predictions.

But, if I had to guess right now, I'd guess that 11-5 or 12-4 is very reasonable.

I just think of all the teams that have gone from first to worst in recent years and vice-versa. There are NO GUARANTEES that 10-6 last season can be duplicated, let alone improved upon. I'm excited like everyone else, but remember, The Warpath is known as much for its educated fans as for its enthusiasm. Let's watch the rest of the offseason unfold before we start acting like NY Yankee fans.

12-4, but I'd like to see a perfect 19-0
