Re: First Ballot Hall of Famers
well he would have almost 10,000 rushing yards, 3,500 recieving yards,
450+ receptions & 110+ total tds so I don't think it'd be too far of a stretch, but it would be his 7th season as a pro cuz last season was suprisingly enough his 5th season in the league.
well, if he retired today....yes today, LT is a first ballot, imo. |
Re: First Ballot Hall of Famers

Gale Sayers statistics - pro-football-reference.com 7 years, but only 5 were productive. |
Re: First Ballot Hall of Famers
Boldin isnt' even the best wideout on his team, no way. Crumpler <if you can't be nice...>. Portis, nope. James No. Heap????? McNabb No. Ward No. Freeney no way.
I quit. This is rediculous.
Well i deff think portis has a fighting chance.....3 out of his first 4 seasons he has gained over 1500 yards...and the one he didnt still he has 1315....not bad...if he stays healthy i do not see a reason as to why he should not get in first ballot!!! |

Staying healthy is a big if with RB's. Currently, James is ahead of Portis in my book and I don't view James as a first ballot guy right now. |

Re: First Ballot Hall of Famers
i guess it was easier to go when he got in.

When his peers talk about his career just about every single one of them says he was the best player they ever saw. He must have made a serious impression to get in with a limited body of work. One of the problems that we have is that there aren't many highlights of Sayers. It doesn't bother me that Swann made it in. It bothers me that Stallworth got in. There is no way that Stallworth should be in over Monk. What's next? Alvin Harper? The Steel Curtain era is overated in my book. Hell, if the refs had enough security at the stadium, the imaculate reception would have been overuled and there goes a ring. |
Re: First Ballot Hall of Famers
im not a steeler fan but why would that catch be over ruled? it was legit in my book, and everyone elses too, i guess

I doubt you were there to see it live and I have never seen video evidence that would suggest he didn't actually catch it before it hit the ground. Why then would you suggest that he didn't catch it? |
