I don't think it would be a problem, as long as all avatars are the same, standard size we use now. Once you get into letting guys throw whatever they want on there, regardless of size or relevance, that's when it really starts to make the board look messy and disorganized. That's something I really dislike about some of the other boards. I'm all for individuality, but some of that stuff just detracts from the quality and appearance of the board, and distracts readers from the discussion at hand.

I completely agree... the "cleanness" of this board is one of the things that attracted me here in the first place. I hate going on boards where the posts have five pictures in their sigs, ten waving flags, non-topical avatars, different sizes, etc etc etc. Unlike Penthouse, I actually read this board for the articles and am not interested in seeing a thousand people try their hand (mostly badly) at Photoshop. The pic I found of Butz was bigger, but I actually reduced it to 102x102 pixels to match the other ones. You can still really see the gouges in his helmet... great stuff!

And yes.. I completely agree that DBB! should have a Dave Butz avatar! Ade Jimoh Fan Club should get an Ade, Smootsmack should get his #21 pic, SBF should get a pic of a guy in a leather hat slinging the ball....

OK, here's how I voted: I've been conversing with Matty longer than any of the other mods, and he and I go back to the Yahoo! Clubs days. That, along with the thinly-veiled threats at deleting accounts, made me decide that a vote for Matty was in "my best interests". :D

Not to take anything away from the other mods, JoeCrisp comes in a very close second thanks to the professionally insightful comments and thought-provoking material he contributes to the site.

Brudlee -- he's a funny guy. He makes me laugh. That ought to count for something. :laughing-

I don't hear too much from Bozzy and Ramseyfan (is he even aware of this poll, by the way?). But hey, sometimes I have two or three week layoffs from the Warpath as well. Sometimes life is too hectic. I always try to come back after being away for awhile to check on things -- then that's when the pendulum will swing and I get addicted and nearly all of my free time is spent here.
