I was a QB, so I'm rolling with AMD on this one, and I'm going to say H-Back.

Two thoughts for me on this one:

WR - just cause it's fun to catch the ball. And it's a very one-on-one type of position, you against the CB.

Fullback - I'd love to be Mike Sellers and just beat the ever living crap out of guys every single play. Wear them down until it's the fourth quarter and you can see it in their eyes that they want no part of dealing with yet another running play.
I went to high school with a guy named Graham Manley, and he was a man-beast. 2x state champion wrestler (he was a heavy weight who only weighed about 220 even though he mainly wrestled guys who were closer to 280), and he was an all-met football player in HS. I think he was eventually a captain for syracus' football team.
I guess he was the Graham expection.
What weight did you wrestle? On the subject of Manely's...I was born on the same day as Dexter's son. He and my dad met in the waiting room. He told my dad "I hope your wife feels better" hahahah

I was 145 my senior year. I can't believe that's all I weighed.

The funny thing is, I actually wrestled 152 in 11th grade, but had to drop to 145 in 12th. We had an eventual 3x state champ on our team who wanted to switch with me. I was too small to move up to the next weight class (160) so I just decided to drop down.

Bread, soaked in water. With a glass of water, with bread crumbs.

I ate virtually nothing all week...ate like hell after tourney's, and spent the whole next week trying to get back down. It was a miserable way to live

Re: If You Could Play Any Position......

I really never had to starve myself. Obviously I had to diet like crazy at the beginning of the season, and I had to skip meals before weigh-ins, but I don't remember ever really being so hungry that I thought I would die.

Re: If You Could Play Any Position......

I constantly felt like I was going to die...no lying either...once I was so dehydrated, my tongue started peeling, infact, maybe this is in the wrong thread. The worst sports injury I ever endured was the lasting effects of wrestling

Re: If You Could Play Any Position......

thats why i never wanted to wrestle. the coach was always heckling me about wrestling.

my friends wrestled and said you lost litterally 3 to 5 pounds a practice. is that true?
HA! Awesome, Graham is without a doubt a douchebag QB name. Not that anything is wrong with any of the aforementioned names (except Colin, I've never met a Colin I liked) unless you happen to be a QB.

And yes, they ALL were collar poppers. For some reason you never have a "Good Ol' Boy" QB.
Kent Graham! :cheeky-sm

Heath is a HORRIBLE QB name. I never want to see another QB named Heath again.

if i could play any position on the team,i'd choose not to play.i played in hs,basketball, football, and wrestling.but i know that if were to have stepped on a college or pro field,i would have been way the hell out of my league, and since my knees were basically shot by the times i was 21,i could not have played.

Re: If You Could Play Any Position......

Growing up, Mom never let me play organized tackle football...which didn't make sense to me because I always played tackle with no pads on in the neighborhood...

So I was relegated to playing Flag Football...I played Center or DE, and when we were throwing deep, I played QB. In college intramurals, I played center for the most part because I was the only guy who could snap in shotgun consistently and kicker, because I was the only one who could kick. Hit like a 35 yarder once during a game. After college, played 2 years in a rec league, at H-Back and kicker.

But if I could play any position, I'd probably be a TE. Blocking bemeoth DEs, then catching and rolling over LBs and Safeties. It'd be a ton of fun...
