Okoye. He played DI football at 15 years old, are you kidding me?
Plus he's smart & hungry for success. A lot of upside w/the kid, seems like a Gibbs guy for sure. |
Re: Call your draft pick
dream Calvin Johnson and just outscore teams next season.
Who I'd like see here (all possible if we trade down): Tank Tyler DT, Josh Wilson CB, Brandon Meriweather S, Justin Blalock G Charles Johnson DE or Ikaika Alama-Francis DE |
Re: Call your draft pick
Calvin Johnson, if we can get him then we have to do it, people seem to forget that our best defense of the past ten years was filled with nobodys, Gregg Williams took a bunch of underachievers and turned the them into one hell of a havoc wreaking defense, but of course our pouros offense held us back, i say we get this damn offense rolling and Gregg will return the D back to form, hell yeah Hail to the Redskins, im so excited about the draft

Re: Call your draft pick
CJ=CHAMPIONSHIP all we have to do is outscore the opponent.
But really i like Jamaal Anderson. |
dream Calvin Johnson and just outscore teams next season.
I don't think this would work because after a team scores, they have to kick the ball back to the other team.
Maybe we could find some guys who excel at recovering onside kicks...if only such a talent existed |

Amobi Okoye

Alan Branch, Despite reports of his stock dropping.

DT Justin Harrell with the #31 pick
I'm really liking Jarvis Moss though also if we trade down, though he might just be another Andre Carter |
Adam Carriker after trading down.
Adam Carriker, DE - 3/15: Carriker has been shooting up draft boards. Find out how he performed at his recent Pro Day. | DRAFT DIARY | NFLPLAYERS.COM "I already have two visits lined up with the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins. I actually met with Coach Gibbs and a few other people on his staff at the combine. I think they're interested in me, but the combine meeting I had with them was actually the last of 12 consecutive meetings that day so I don't remember a whole lot from it except that I left with a feeling that I did well." |
Re: Call your draft pick
take briggs then O-line depth.....find some hungry D-linemen late round
It's an ANGRY position. We will praise the choice as we have b4. |
Re: Call your draft pick
Gaines Adams
DE is our biggest need, and this guys pretty f-in good |
Re: Call your draft pick
Gaines Adams. Hands down. Pure pass rush. NECESSARY.
|
Re: Call your draft pick
Trade down for a latter 1st round and a possible 2nd or 3rd. Then draft the best DE available and use the newley aquired pick for either a OG or DT. whichever is the better of the two.
|
Re: Call your draft pick
My ideal draft would be to trade down to somewhere 8-10 nab Adams/Okoye and with the pick we got from trading, pick Quinton Moses/Tank Tyler. But it would be really nice to have one of the top prospect fall to us at 6 and have lots of teams willing to give up ALOT to get them (maybe Draft Then trade ala Eli manning)
|
Re: Call your draft pick
give me some height at wideout (especially in the endzone) and take the pressure off santana: Calvin Johnson
|
Re: Call your draft pick
My ideal:
Trade down to the 9-12 spot, get OKOYE, and a 2nd round pick. OKOYE
I couldn't agree with you more!!! |
Re: Call your draft pick
amobi okoye (he could be a difference maker for us.)
|
Re: Call your draft pick
Calvin Johnson cause he is the best player in this draft.
|

So, based on that analogy, perhaps the Redskins could complete a trade with the Bears for the #6 pick in exchange for their 31st pick, and still have an opportunity to draft Branch at # 31. I really do like those odds. |
Re: Call your draft pick
I'm changing my vote to:
Trade for Briggs and draft Paul Posluzny at #31 (Poz's college number, by the way) so that we can play a 1-6 defense with Cornelius Griffin, Briggs, Washington, Flecther, Marshall, Poz, and McIntosh. |

The offensive line would be so confused they'd soil themselves. |

Sure. I just figure if we want Briggs so bad on top of the three starting linebackers we already have (and a player we moved up to draft last year in the 2nd round), maybe that's the way G. Williams is going with the defense. I mean, heck, if they're that willing to ignore the d-line, maybe they're thinking of moving to a 3-4........so why stop there?........who needs a 3-4 when you can keep stockpiling LBs and go to a 1-6. (obviously these posts are dripping with sarcasm) |

(obviously these posts are dripping with sarcasm)
LOL that was great!!!! The only problem is that we would still need at least 1 decent DT. But lets be reasonable I think they would prob. use a 2-5 on running downs and go to the 1-6 on passing downs. |
