Re: F... people at the gym
I had to do a double-take at Mr. Tan Guy the other day. Actually he looked more orange than tan, and as a result he looked MG (mad-gay).

Re: F... people at the gym
You can also tell someone's gayness level by the fact that they obviously shave every part of their body.

MG rivals the nickname I made up for Parcells in college: The OBG (the Original Big Gay). |

Really a lot of these a-holes you all are speaking of are their in the afternoon or after work. I find in the morning less people and more noraml people.

Re: F... people at the gym
I wanted to share an experience I had at the gym this week with everyone. Usually when I'm finished with my workout I go sit in the sauna for about 15minutes. The sauna is not very big either, there's a bench, and having anymore than 4 people on it would be uncomfortable. So, as I'm sitting their, alone, in the sauna, reading ESPN the magazine, who should walk in but an older man, I'd say in his 60s with nothing but a towel on.
At first this is ok with me, people go in the sauna all the time with just a towel. I could also tell that he had just gotten out of the shower because he was dripping wet. Here's where the trouble starts. He then proceeds to just start drying off like 2 feet away from me, in the sauna, just letting his junk hang out all over the place. It was horrible. He has the whole freakin locker room to dry off, and he has to dry off two feet away from me, in the sauna, making sure his old balls were on display the entire time. It was so awkward. Seriously, why the hell would somebody need to dry off in the Sauna? You'd think that's a bad idea if you just got out of the shower cause it makes you sweat again. I don't get it. |

some guy started to do karate moves like calm moves. (white nerdy stick guy by the way) did that for about 7 mins. after that he points at him self in the mirror and walks out and starts to flys. me and my buddy could not stop laughing. |

Re: F... people at the gym
So, last night I was at the gym with my brother, and I was spotting him on bench press. Right infront of the the bench he was using is the machine you can do flies on, and behind that there is a mirror. So, I'm standing there, spotting my brother, and an old man wearing spandex gets on the flies machine. And we're not talking like biker spandex, it looked like he was flat out wearing boxer briefs. They were really tight and really short, and the material well, it was very thin, just like underwear.
So, the man is on the flies machine with his bony butt towards us, and I snicker and just think to myself, why? Why would one wear that to the gym? Things then took a turn for the worst when decided to turn around and use the flies machine facing us, his package bulging out of his spandex. I guess he got tired of looking at his package in the mirror, and decided "Hey, I'm going to show this off to everyone now." So, when my brother is finished his set, he sits up to old man junk sticking out of old man spandex, and just starts laughing. So then I start laughing and the old guy is just staring at us, wondering what is so funny. It was really awkward. |
Re: F... people at the gym
What is it about older people that makes them think it's OK to be vulgar package-wise?
|
Re: F... people at the gym
Packages need to be kept under wraps at all times, especially geezer packages.
Men don't want to see that, and I don't think there are many women that want to see that either. |

I often wonder what it is that has totally eliminated the modesty emotion from geezers. They have no shame. None at all. |

They sit there and TALK to each other with basically NO personal space between them.

If you have a local GOLDS gym, go check it out. They still have blockheads, but the place is so big and setup so nice, no waits. Top Shelf operation, nothing like the Y

Golds gyms are owned locally, like most chain gyms, and the quality, space and clientel varies big time. |

For those under 30, let me share how shame goes away. As life progresses one comes to a deeper understanding of the phrase "sh** happens". Slowly you realize that sh** happens to everyone, that it seems like there is big sh** and petty sh** and that life's too short to worry about the petty sh**, BUT (here's the big revelation) BECAUSE sh** happens all the time and to everyone, it is no big sh**. As a result, you no longer give a sh** about any of the truly petty sh**. Or, from a more relational perspective: You don't like the fact that my sh** happens? Tough, it does, so deal with it. I have seen too much sh** in my life to worry whether or not you can handle my sh**. SO, when I am in a place where certain types of sh** is likely to happen, I am tired of worrying whether my sh** embarasses you, makes you uncomfortable or makes you wish sh** didn't happen. Too much big sh** has happened in my life to cause me to worry about your inability to deal with the petty sh** that always occurs. More particular to this situation: If your in a place where certain types of petty sh** is likely to occur, get over yourself and stop worrying about the petty sh**. Your in a locker and you see my sh**? And it bothers you? Tough sh**. My sh** has seen more sh** than your sh** has ever even heard about and the sh** my sh** has seen would make your sh** shrivel up and stop its stink. Grow up and stop worrying about my sh** there's too much other real sh** to worry about. Soon enough - the lesson of sh** will sink in for all of you. Then, and only then, will you be able let sh** happen. |
Re: F... people at the gym
I go to 24 Hour Fitness in ....Hollywood. Take all of your experiences and multiply them times 12 and you will just begin to scratch the surface of the incredibly stupifying retardedness of my gym encounters.. Man nudity, cell phones, people acting out scenes (not kidding), posing, porn stars wearing nothing and getting snippy when you stare at them, sweat pools, people wearing sandals, regular street clothes (ie. jeans, or khakis and button down shirts), camping out on machines ..and the list goes on. I have many nicknames for people. There's: "tooth rot", "frankenstein head", "the vein", "zit map", "fred flintstone", "skank mother", "skank in training" to name a few. Hollywood is a full on friggin' freak show.

Are the porn stars really walking around naked? And, how do you know they're porn stars? I don't doubt you, I'm just curious. |
Re: F... people at the gym
I think it's because it's California. I have no idea how close the San Fernando Valley is to Hollywood (it might even be Hollywood) but that's where like 99% of all porn is made.

haha, very original. Never heard anyone renting out backyards for porn sets but it is an idea i am surprised more haven't thought of. I can just see you at 70 sitting on a lawn chair on your deck. Bravo. |

Yeah. I mean I guess I'd be too old to "help out", but I sure wouldn't mind admiring the scenery.
As long as they don't ask me or the wife for "fluffing" help. |

Re: F... people at the gym
I just love this thread. The other day I was at the gym, and I had another interesting experience. There's this old guy who goes to my gym, and he looks kinda skectchy. He's got a minor case of man boobs, a mustache, and he wears these really thick glasses. So the other day he's in the gym and there's this hotty following him around. This girl is clearly not from the States, I'm going to guess that she's from Brazil because she was wearing this sports bra type thing that says Brazil on it, with matching green shorts. Anyways, she's doin these ab exercises and the old guy is like touching her tailbone, it was really weird. Everyone in the gym is staring at this and just does not know what to think.
