Would you recommend we rewatch the rest of them before this one?
Saw Simpsons on Saturday. I enjoyed it, but it was a bit surreal at times to see those characters on the big screen.
I spent the first 10 minutes of the movie either thinking this same thing or "shushing" the rowdy teens sitting behind me (I've turned into an old man). The animation was just different enough from the TV show that it seemed really strange to me, maybe it was the shadows or something.

On a different note, I can't wait to see the Bourne Ultimatum.

Well I watched Bourne Identity several times this past week on TNT (or maybe it was USA) and then just before going to the movies I quickly reviewed the Bourne Supremacy plot summary on Wikipedia.

So, no you don't need to see both. Just take a quick refresher on the previous plots and characters. It definitely helps to know the story line. A bunch of us from work went and one guy who went knew nothing of the first two movies. Needless to say he didn't enjoy the movie nearly as much as the rest of us.

You know what I'd like to know? Shouldn't they have given Tracey Ullman some love in this movie? The fact that she took a couple of minutes out of her own show 20 years ago to expose The Simpsons to the world seems to be forgotten too often. I don't know what kind of relationship the Simpsons producers have with Ullman, but a little props would have been nice.
I think I give the slight edge to Bourne Identity over Bourne Ultimatum. Only because Identity was the one that started it all. But it's extremely close.

Both were better than Bourne Supremacy.
I thought the second one was better than the first. I'm looking foward to Ultimatum, I need to get the wife up to speed on the first two before going.

for me personally the second one had the potential to be better than the first because it had some awesome scenes, but I know I personally couldn't tell what the heck was going on during most action scenes because of the shoddy camera work shaking around so much.
has anyone here read any of the books?

The more I think about it, the more I think Bourne Ultimatum was the best of the three. And also, Matt Damon movies are starting to become must-sees. He's had quite a run now with The Departed, The Good Shepherd, now Bourne Ultimatum.

The Bourne series has turned out to be a quality triology which is pretty rare these days.

Why isn't Superbad on here? Judd Apatoff? Creator of great movies like the 40 year old Virgin and Knocked Up?

You know Superbad is gonna rake it in.

Yeah bourne was fantastic. I loved every minute of it. I'm going to be seeing the midnight show for rush hour 3 tonight

Back in the day, The Rush HOurs ruled. The last one came out when i was just a kid. I've been waiting and waiting and waiting for this one. I am so happy it is here. Rush hour 2 picked up where rush hour left off. I hope that Rush hour three can do the same. May very well be my favorite action comedy movie series ever. Only Bad Boys compare. Bad Boys III?

For me, it was like the complete opposite of the movies: it was boring; it seemed pointless; and, again, it was boring. Aside from the basic premise and some of the characters' names it was very different than the movie, which is sometimes okay, but not in this case.

also, Flash Gordon brought back a lot of memories from my childhood and is highly recommended to anyone else who was a fan of movie back in the day.

Re: Merged: The Movies Thread

f...ing rush hour 3. Now i am not going to say it was bad (b/c i love the rush hours) but the story line SUCKED. I mean, it may have been the worst story line i've ever seen in a movie that in the end i sorta liked. Honestly, more i think of it, that was a horrible story line that made NO sense.

Its funny in the rush hour funny way. Chris Tucker screaming shit in his high pitched voice is always funny. God damn, that story line sucked. That is all i can think of. I don't even know what just happened...??

I read a review and the writer said that he can remember laughing but he can't remember the things he laughed at. I agree. Nothing was really really worth remembering. I felt like things were being thrown at me from every direction. The movie went to fast. The plot shifted quickly. Stuff didn't make any sense. You sit there and say, that isn't possible and why isn't there this or that. Its not that i think the movie has to be realistic but don't take me out of the movie to turn to a friend and say that is dumb. The story just rolled on its bumpy road to the end and it ended and made no sense at all.

I do remember a joke in the beginning of the movie. It was kind of out there too much. It was offensive to many people in the theater. It actually got booos. I mean, i think most things are funny, offensive or not but the way it was done just rubbed most people the wrong way. I did laugh though because it was so over the top. Whatever, you will notice it when you watch the movie.

I say go watch it but the story line is not nearly as good as the other two. The end does not resolve ANYTHING. Its funny and worth seeing because it is a Rush HOur movie.

This summer has been great for movies but we need a drama movie. I guess those don't come out in the summer? I'm REALLY looking forward to American Gangster
Movie Trailers, Movie Previews and Movie Clips at Movies.com

Coming out early November. Ridley Scott as director. Denzel and Russel Crow. That is going to be sick.

Hmmmm. If you are f'ed up, it might be worth seeing in the theaters. The visuals are stunning, but I'd probably say that you should wait for it to hit video stores.

I didn't say I didn't like it, I just said it wasn't a good movie.
I thought Jack's accent was the worst botched Bostonian accent EVER. (not that it's the reason the movie wasn't good.)
I think it was the overall story and the directing.

while I'm definitely psyched about American Gangster, I think one of the first top notch dramas is going to be We Own the Night with Mark Wahlberg, Joaquin Phoenix, Robert Duvall and the extremely fine Eva Mendes.

just got back from Stardust and all I gotta say is anyone who is a fan of "The Princess Bride" u definitely need to see this movie. Awesome special effects added to the fantasy in the movie, the lead did a very good job transforming through the movie from a pitied character to a hero, and the comedy came at perfect moments and didn't seem forced except for maybe a couple scenes. It wasn't as good as "The Princess Bride" but is definitely worth a watch.

Haha! If so they edited that whole instruction part out.

Pro: ...There was a banging scene though.

Con: Due to.. situations, she only had one leg.

Rush Hour 3 was pretty freakin funny. Some of the jokes were really forced down your throat and then there were others that made me almost cry a little. plot was pretty much pointless, acting was so-so, and the action was balls to the wall awesome. Worth a matinee showing but I don't know about anything other than that.
