no we didnt accept because we didnt want to TRAVEL to face a far less superior team. Hawaii has a tough offense which our defense negates. Our offense would run and pass all over their defense.

there was no way a group of kids essentially, were going to be able to play but so well after such an emotional pregame rememberance of their fellow students. VT will have their heads on straight next week more so cuz they got that first game out of the way and they'll be on the road so they'll be more banded together. I won't be suprised if LSU does win, but I don't think anyone should be thinking that they'll run all over VT, especially since each team has it's weakness playing the other team's strength ie LSU's offense vs VT's defense & VT's offense vs LSU's defense. I think it'll be a close game and either team will be lucky to score over 20.

Did you watch the game?
I know on the surface it sounds stupid to say that a 45-0 win and the winner is overrated...but if you watched, you would have noticed that the Miss. St. QB threw 6 horrible interceptions. I give LSU a little credit for being around, but he seriously threw those balls so bad it wasn't funny. Had it not been for him trying to give the game away, LSU would have only won marginally.
Also, the fact that Miss. St. will be lucky to win 3 games and LSU is ranked #2, they should have won by 65+.

I wasn't the only one that thought LSU didn't show much, 1st and Ten on ESPN also thought so.

It's SO tough to win in Baton Rouge at night. That game is gonna be an amazing defensive battle, but LSU will score 2 or 3 defensive touchdowns if Sean Glennon (VT QB) looks like he did today. From what I saw from each team this opening week, I'd say LSU 24-7.

Who frigging cares about LSU, at least for today. The greatest upset in college football history was pulled off today just down the road off of I-94 from me. Carr is doomed!!!!!!!! U of M has a weak ass out of conference schedule though with Oregon, Notre Dame, and my alma mater Eastern Michigan, but they play Penn St, before Eastern. The Wolverines might even lose another one of those games before Big Ten season. The football gods are not looking favorable at Ann Arbor anymore. Serves the elitist bastards right though. They were laughing and heckling the Appy St guys from the get go. 34-32, YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Henne and Hart will graduate without beating the Buckeyes!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!

LSU doesnt lose at home, they will lose at kentucky or alabama though. USC has been struggling in away games since bush/leinart and co left and they will go down at least once in their stretch of at oregon, at cal, and at az state. There will not be a single unbeaten team in the country this year outside of maybe Hawaii, which doesnt matter because their schedule is a joke. and if a big ten team makes the MNC this year it further proves what a joke the bowl system is.

I didn't watch it, I have no clue if they should have won or not.
A 1 loss team could very easily win it all this year. Seems like BC could win it all this year with their weak schedule.
1 more loss, and LSU is out for good.

I dont see LSU getting another loss but they were up 27-14 with 10 minutes left should have been 31-14.

The only time I was laughed at harder here at work than last spring when I said watch out for them Rockies!, was last December when I said watch out for Cincy and South Florida in college football in 2007!!

USF should be number one, you look at SOS (strength of schedule) and USF has the number 9 SOS, beating a ranked auburn team on the road at night and then number 5 WVU, both teams are still ranked... You could be right...I still say they lose one more game, and that will seal their fate. Right now, they can still be national champs being #4...they still have that shot...unlike USC.

I've watched South Florida, they are better than you might think...however, I am with you about BC. They are overrated if you ask me, and they have only beat 1 good team, Georgia Tech. The BC schedule gets tougher though, and I think they will fall, but don't expect South Florida to fall...they could very easily be playing for the national championship game.
