That may very well be, but I fail to see what Emmit holding out would have to do with the defense surrendering 5 TD's.
I fail to see what the accomplishments of a team that won three Super Bowls in four years have to do with the prospects of a team that hasn't won a playoff game since who knows when. |
Offense sells tickets, defense wins games. IMO these two teams did not look good, defense makes up half of a team.
To make matters worse for the cowpatties is that Ferguson (starting nose tackle) is out for the season with a torn bisceps. They have no other nose tackle on the roster. |

Tell you what, you answer the original question and tell me how Emmitt holding out in 1993 had any affect on the defense surrendering 5 TD's, and then I will answer your question. |

I think if Emmitt's out there, the offense is on the field longer because they're controlling the clock with Emmitt's running and thus the defense gets to rest and isn't out there to give up 5 TDs. |

And BTW, for the record, the Redskins are the best thing to happen to the Broncos. They are loving all those draft picks that have been traded to them over the last few years! And starting next week, Reeves will only be in on nickel packages as Newman will be playing. And the one interception the Cowboys got last night was by Reeves.
You didn't like your D. Well how will the loss of Ferguson make you better? |

What he said. Plus, it was a full on media distraction in Dallas that pre-season. The whole team mailed in those first two games. I think you have a tougher job answering my question. How will the accomplishments of the 1993 Cowboys help improve the defense we watched last night? It's like saying, "Sammy Baugh led the league in punting in 1943, so I expect Jason Campbell to do it in 2007". Or something close to that. BTW, I do think Newman's return will help a lot. You gave up a lot of big runs too, though. That did surprise me. |
Re: Cowboys And Giants Both Looking Good
If you ask me, the Cowboys defense at times resembled a wet paper bag. Derrick Ward (their 2nd string) looked like Tiki one a few plays. If it wasn't for Dallas's extremely explosive offense they would have lost that one.
