That's hilarious. Only the Redskins, right? Of all that happened this weekend (Harrison alleged in a shooting, Micheal Boley arrested for assault, Ced Benson with his BWI arrest) oversleeping is nothing. It'll cost him a few hundred thousand in his contract, but he will be fine.
Good to put that in perspective.

Nevemind. I just read about Boley on NFL.com. WTF is wrong with some of these guys? I remember seeing a real nice piece on Boley and his family on some show last season. Seemed like a real good guy.

I take back what i said earlier, a roommate that won't shut up, punch him in the mouth or go to another room i guess i'd go to another room, don't want to get kicked of the team for fighting, i hope he wasn't rooming with a vet because the vet should know better
Just got this from Clayton's article on espn.com.

"5. No ZZZs with Zorn

New Redskins coach Jim Zorn had the most entertaining minicamp. Jason Campbell seems to be responding to Zorn's unique coaching methods. Clinton Portis, in his best shape as a Redskin, almost beat safety LeRon Landry in a match race. Landry ran a 4.35 40 coming out of college, but Portis wanted to challenge him. Then there was second-round pick Fred Davis. He couldn't sleep Saturday night because his roommate wouldn't shut up. So he went to the desk of the hotel and asked for a different room. He slept until 11 a.m., and the team couldn't find him because he wasn't in the right room. Zorn wants his players alert -- but Fred, tell the roommate to shut up and don't forget the wakeup call."
So his roommate is either Fred Smoot or Justin Tryon

Hmm....If I was making/going to make a couple million bucks doing something I enjoy, they would have to force me to go to sleep, not wake me up. "Thought someone was going to wake him up", what is he the President or something? Maybe not stupid....but he's not doing what a smart person would.
It's a mistake. The Vets will probably joke with him about it for a while. I'd laugh my ass off if I saw Davis wear a clock around his neck like Flava Flav for the rest of Training Camp. :laughing- And if any Redskins player sees this, I take credit for it. Give credit where credit is due!
Chris Cooley indicates that this will, in fact, be the case. The Official Blog of Chris Cooley

Edit:

He says it on the Blog Show and on the EITM Spot. Also, isn't that one of KB24's pics in the Blog Show?

Gentlemen - and ladies too of course:

I think we can conclude with good and sufficient data that the Redskins did in fact get the sleeper in the NFL Draft this year.

Thank you. I'll be here all week. Tip your waiters...

If Davis doesn't comment to us Skins than......we wasted the chance on the 6'7 DE.
How dumb. 1st impressions are lasting ones there Mr. Davis.

On the flip side...I do not think they should show up to practice until they have a contract. But that's just me I guess.
Either way Fred Davis has reshaped the definition of what it means to be a sleeper. I know it's a horrible joke.

he'll be okay..there should be no reason why you miss camp..(unless your number is 21 and you play for the chargers)..but he'll be a good addition
