Re: Source: Cowboys May Consider Releasing Owens
Maybe T.O. needs to go to Oakland, since it has become the Betty Ford Clinic rehab for a-hole players (see R. Moss, D. Hall).
Honestly, I think T.O. was not a problem in Philly, it was more of Andy Reid making sure everyone bowed down to McNabb. All T.O. wanted in Philly was more money, and I personally think he deserved that money since he played great for them throughout the season and was their only positive note from the SB. Had T.O. stayed in Philly, the Iggles would have had a dominant team. I must say, the Cowboys are turning into the Bengals, thinking that one person is the sole reason behind their problems. Jerry Jones put together a teams with several head cases (Pacman Jones, Tank Johnson, T.O., etc., etc.) with a softee of a coach. Oh well, who cares about them, I hope they continue in their dysfunctional ways. |
Re: Source: Cowboys May Consider Releasing Owens
I really hope that TO stays in Dallas. I loved it when they signed him. Even if they do release him they'll have to eat alot of dead cap, right? He was right though, McNabb froze in the SB.
maybe danny boy can control him!!!!!!!
No, unfortunatly. The problem with TO coming to DC isn't money it isn't the contract. It's not even his on field entertainent. It's he would overpower JC and keep him from developing. Demanding the ball and thinking he is the saviour of the Skins. We need guys on the same level with standouts like Fletch. We could use TO talent but not his character. Unfortunatly! |

Don't do sit ups in your driveway making a publcity stunt. Don't go to training camp and piss everyone off and act like an asshole cause you want more money. I don't understand how anyone can stick up for this guy. I mean he comes out and calls Garica a homosexual. WTF?? Tank Johnson actually has been a good person on and off the field for Dallas. Ratliff just beat him out and I don't think Johnson is a 3-4 NT anyway. He was playing out of position. He's a 4-3 DT and he might come available. I'd take Johnson as it seems he's turned his life around, I wouldn't take TO. |
Re: Source: Cowboys May Consider Releasing Owens
i was kidding about the danny boy thing. to would hurt the skins a lot more then help. and i was just watching espn, damn that guy was just dropping balls when he was wide open. no thanks

I'm not sticking up to T.O., nor denying the crap he has done before, and his reputation follows him everywhere. Still, I think when he left Philly, the team, Andy Reid, and McNabb were not completely innocent. I think it's funny that you are "sticking up" for a guy like Tank Johnson, who actually committed a crime and went to court for it. |
Re: Source: Cowboys May Consider Releasing Owens
The Cowboys would be doing themselves a favor by releasing T.O. on salary cap issues, and more importanly locker room issues. WORST YET, as a Redskin fan I hate to realize the cowpukes have set themseles up for a seemless transition from T.O. to Roy Williams. ( Who plays T.O.'s position) Another dominant true number one receiver with similar body type, same skill sets, (range and ability).
Williams has a huge upswing versus T.O. His youth, and now he has REAL talent to flourish in his own game around ! I JUST HOPE THE COWTURDS DONT REALIZE THE EASIEST WAY TO FIX TEAM CHEMISTRY IS TO SHITCAN T.O. |
I respect you're opinion but. If every QB had the offense Romo had/has, my pretenses wouldn't seem so far reaching.
With that said Dallas has never had a problem finding quality QB's My point is if you release TO why not Romo? Who plays his position better? TO came to Romo's rescue not the other way around.
Who was the last quality QB in Dallas after TA. |

Hey 53. No, I just like to put the feelers out any get others point of view before I give mine. With that said, I do enjoy watching the guy play. But that's as far as it goes. Hope he stays a Cowgirl :) |
