I'm not sold on Jason Campbell after his regression in the second half of the season. But, he is our QB, and I hope - as I'm sure you do - that he develops into a Top 10 QB. I think his QB rating was 19th in 2008. We do need more consistency than that.
I think what we have seen with JC is about what we will get. Hopefully I am wrong but I doubt it.

Fitzgerald was drafted third overall by the Cardinals in the 2004 NFL Draft. After just his sophomore year, Fitzgerald garnered the 2003 Walter Camp Player of the Year Award (for the best player in college football), the 2003 Biletnikoff Award (for the best wide receiver in college football), and the 2003 Columbus Touchdown Club Player of the Year. He was also a unanimous 2003 All-America selection. Additionally, he was 2003 runner-up for the prestigious Heisman Trophy, given to the most outstanding player in college football; Oklahoma's Jason White won that award by a relatively slim margin. Where is Jason White now?

Our rookie WR's do not have the resume or explosive play that Fitzgerald had coming out of college.
I don't think anyone said we need an "elite" line, just a younger, healthier line capable of consistent pass protection really.

Don't forget the Cardinals have an amazing O-line coach in Russ Grimm, and he's doing a great job with those guys, who have in large part been healthy all season.

Wow, Fitzgerald is your new favorite WR? Go Cards? What happened to the Falcons? You were touting them a few weeks ago. Bandwagon much? If Fitzgerald gets shut down in the SuperBowl and Santonio Holmes plays well for Pitt, I imagine you'll have a Steelers avatar and Holmes jersey....
Going into the Playoff's I was supporting the Falcons, because they turned it around in a hurry, but Yea, Fitzgearld is the type of WR i covet for the Skins. Everything else you said, Computer Warrior, Suck my......
I been saying this since the playoff's that the Card's were going, but maybe all of you out there who think that we need an elite line to be dominant, No look no futher than having an elite WR (Larry Fitzgerald) is the kind of WR that change games, he is now my new favorite WR. Go Cards!
IF CAMPBELL threw the ball up like warner, which im sorry, really only happens twice a season for us.

Funny, I haven't said a sinlge thing insulting to you, yet in the past few weeks you've called me a "dickhead" and told me to "suck your..." But you say that I'm the Computer Warrior?? That's pretty funny. I think that's your title. I'm not the one who feels compelled to insult people while hiding behind a keyboard. I just love internet tough guys.
first off, i hate the eagles. but how do you figure? when the eagles were behind, he took them on 3 long, consecutive scoring drives to take the lead. their defense couldnt hold it.
McKnabb is very good; but did you see how many open WR he missed? I'm talking about easy TD's or catches that would have sustained the drives. Of course when he was on target he is unstoppable. However, he was off for 2 quarters and Kurt Warner outplayed him.

Donovan is good enough to get them to a high level but has not been good enough to take them to the top.

Re: AFC/NFC Championship game thread

Warner did a good job, but people forget they've had that offense all along. Some changes this year have been I would say an improvement on their offensive line and a bit of an improvement in their running game. The biggest thing during the playoffs has been their defense coming up big, I think that has caught a lot of people off guard.

McNabb also did a good job in the playoffs against the Giants. The Cards defense just step it up and I don't think the Iggles had the offense to keep up with the Cards. I know we hate the Iggles, but don't disregard the fact that they actually made it to playoffs and made it past the first round.

A lot of people are touting Fitzgerald, yet the only way we would have gotten a player like him this past offseason would have been through a trade. Something like this would have set off a whine-fest, with the typical line "we need to build through the draft". Honestly, we don't need a player like Fitz, if we don't have an offensive line that allows our QB. Besides, the Cards have gotten the same production out of Fitz and Boldin in previous seasons, but have not had the defense to help them win games.

Finally, not to take away from the Cards, but they also were in the weakest division. They did a helluva job in the playoffs, beating the Falcons and the Panthers. I just feel that they had an easier job getting there.

Yeah, the Eagles should have dropped 38 by my count. But hey, at least he didn't puke this time.

Yeah, the way I see it we beat them, so we are the true NFC Champions :) Maybe we can take the coaches poll.

Unlike the Cards, I don't think we could have peaked in the playoffs. Shoot, we couldn't beat the Cowboys at home when our playoff lives depended on it, there would have been no way we could have played Atlanta or Carolina the way the Cards did.

You'd have to be insane to disagree with that.

I was at the Cards Eagles game, My best friend is an eagles fan...

Cardinals fans are probably the nicest on the planet.
Even when they insult you, it's really not that bad.

The worst my eagle friend heard was "Take that Mcnabb jersey off, he sucks. Kolb looks good for next year, You guys are going to be set. We look forward to playing you again"
