Unless that writer from the Denver Post is totally Bsing there looks like there is something going on. He mentioned that Denver would get back to back 1st round picks if the dealt with the Skins, but then he talked about the Jets, who he considered to have more to offer Denver. This is getting very interesting.

Wow, I read through two pages and it's only people defending themselves.

Anyway, that rumor is out there. So as far as I'm concermed, it's a legit discussion that warrants it's own thread. Now do I agree with the scenerio if it played out, I don't know. Two years ago I would have been on the Danny and Vinny don't know what they're doing bandwagon. But I'm not so sure that every short term move is a bad one.

That being said, I love Campbell and I think he and Zorn can make things happen here in D.C. But my heart wouldn't be broken if we shipped them off.

I think if --big if--you bring Cutler here, it makes it all the more appealing Mike S. comes along. I think that's all the original post was about.

You would think Snyder would learn by now. Everytime he has gone for the "sexy" pick or FA signing it always is a dismal bust.

I wouldn't be going off on people about this "April fools joke" of shannahan coming here that may sound ridiculous, but then again our franchise is known for making the ridulous happen...everything with the redskins is like this "April fools joke" bottomline don't call people stupid for something that really could happen just like how theredski a had no interest in cutler a week ago now we want to trade for him...

At this point, if Snyder is daring(or crazy) enough to go trade for Cutler, he might want to bring in Shanny and his O to compliment him. If both Jason and Zorn go, Danny is going to look like an ass. I wonder if Vinny would resign in protest.

Some guys think I am a Jason hater, I cheer for him, and want him to succeed. Thing is after being a Skins fan(football fan) for a long time you get to spot things that seem to be trends. Jason is a good QB, but unless you really stack the deck with regards to the offense I am thinking that he won't really "breakout" like we have been hoping for. GTripp thinks I am comparing just the QBs talents with me talkiing about Gus and JC, but it is not just that, it is the fact that a lot of us hoped Gus could breakout as well as Patrick. Maybe he(Jason) will this season and I will look like an ass, but IMHO I think we have pretty much seen what we are going to be getting out of him already. Keep JC around and if he is just average(nothing really special) let him go and go with Colt. On the flip, we've parted ways with guys who have gone on to pretty nice careers elsewhere - Brad Johnson, Rich Gannon, Trent Green....

There's a Super Bowl winner, Super Bowl runner up, and league MVP amongst those three names...

Gus is mentioned G, just because he is the only post Rypien QB that was around long enough to evaluate over more than 3 seasons worth of play. I also use him because I really liked him and like Patrick, and JC, I was really hoping him to be our next franchise guy. Unfortunately disappointment abounds in Skinsland with regards to finding that ever elusive franchise guy. JC still can become that QB, but he really needs to step it up to a whole other level to get me convinced.
