Yeah, no kidding. At least we are not them or an 0-3 Carolina team that won 13 last year. It could be worse than being 2-2.
Speaking of that we have Carolina next week. Coud be 4-2 if we can squeek out these next two games. Then we will probably need some fan support for the Eagles game..lol. SERIOUSLY

I hope Delhomme continues to play badly. I'm sure the Panthers are under a lot of pressure, kinda wish they had beaten the Cowboys.

Maybe losing Albertus Haynesworthius has something to do with their pass defense sucking. They are good against the run, but not the pass.

I think the Chargers window of being a contender is closing...Tomlinson is getting up there in RB age, their offense is banged up, and well they are just laying down in front of the Steelers tonite.

Once again proving that as a head coach, he's gonna make one helluva offensive coordinator.

It's really sad watching the decline of LT. Talk about wasting the best years of an amazing player. What a baller he was, now dude's got 14 all-purpose yards? Ugh.

Re: Around the NFL week 4

ok, so the steelers know how to run a HB option pass from the 8 and get a TD: Do it on 1st down, after good playcalling and mixing runs and passes.

Ruhskins 10-04-2009 11:08 PM

Re: Around the NFL week 4

That was a freaky ball strip for TD play by the Chargers....wow, did the Chargers just score 21 points in the 4th qtr?

Rivers with a great pass to Gates... under pressure and about to get clobbered by both DEs. Get the ball out quick enough and the pass rush is a non-factor.

Wow, the Chargers are playing like when you play against the computer in Madden and there's not effing way you are going to stop them. Insane. I had them dead in the water by half time.

This Minnesota Favre's v. Green Bay Packers game is pretty good so far.

I love how when Aaron Rodgers fumbled Mike whatshisname' from the booth was like," Rodgers fumbled, Favre on the field when we come back!"

I mean seriously it's a pro football contest, not just a one man vs. one team game. I get it really. It's Favre! On the field! Against the team he devoted 16 gun slinging seasons to! The Packers! Without Favre! Because he's on their hated rival! The Vikings! Oooh revenge!

Lol @ the announcer saying that surreal moment has arrived. Gosh this pressure is so intense i'm about to orgasm from all it! Ooh great 7 yard gain by Peterson! It was so Favre-like!

I always think that the media makes far more out of this stuff than the players. This game has a lot of hype top live up to. So far so good though.

Favre is having a sick game tonight, he knows this offense as well as anyone. That said, his line is giving him ridiculous amounts of time

I picked up the game at 7-7 and watched until halftime. I didn't see any plays where he was camping out in the pocket like Brady. Instead, I saw a guy throwing a lot of screens and short passes followed by 100MPH heaters downfield on a rope. The ball was coming out ridiculously quick, so the O line didn't look like it had to do all that much. And that TD pass to Rice was all Favre. He's ballin'!

They showed one counter, Favre had 7.34 seconds of protection on one crucial play. That's a ton of time.

Hmmm...Why is he not giving the o-line any credit? They are doing a helluva job. He hasn't been sacked all night if I am not mistaken. Favre is a Hall of Famer. But the line is protecting him. On the other hand Rodgers has been sacked 7 times...

I've heard Gruden praising Rodgers a lot tonight for hanging in there with such little protection

Really though, at 40yrs old to be playing at that level, it certainly is understandable why the media talks about Favre so much.

And allow me to drink the Favre kool-aid for a second...Favre has beaten every single team in the NFL? Wow!

He did. I just thought the man-love was really evident. I've been a huge Favre fan his whole career until the past two years. The guy is awesome. It was just funny to me how much Gruden was gushing.

On a side note, Jared Allen is a friggin monster. Sheesh.

They look like a superbowl team to me they have a good defense lead by Allen, good passing game lead by a hall of famer, good returner on special teams in Harvin, oh and they have a RB that's a lil better than average :silly:
