Didn't they play a better game than we did?
Didn't watch the game wouldn't know. Either way they still lost.

Anyhow, I just find it funny how when the Redskins lose this board suddenly has no trouble finding all the great things about every other team in the NFL. Like everybody else is flawless and has all the answers to everything...though no one is really talking much about the Brown, Rams, Bills, Jaguars, or Raiders today...

Don't fool yourself SS, we're on that list too. Our team isn't playing like a middle of the road team. We're playing like we want Colt McCoy or Tim Tebow in the first round of the draft, with the first or second pick.
Yeah but do you think any of that is a consolation to Parcells? At the end of the day they'll be sitting home in January just like us. It's a results business.
We'll see. Pretty early to say they won't make the playoffs, no? They just took the lead on a nice throw by Henne, and if they hang on they'll be a game out of first in the AFC East with 3/4 of the season yet to play. Their o-line is young, their QB is young, the WRs are young, and they have a pretty stout D by the looks of it. Anyone talking about the Dolphins as a league joke?

I'd take Miami over the Skins in a heartbeat right now.

It's making me sick to my stomach watching Mark Sanchez. This kid is mature beyond his years and has an incredible touch on his passes. He was worth 2 first rounders or whatever they were asking to allow us to trade down and snag him.

OMG. Braylon Edwards and Mark Sanchez. Holy Shit. I at least tip my hat to Vinny and Danny for trying to get Sanchez. Kid is sick.

He's surprising the hell outta me... I seriously didn't think he was ready for the pro level coming out early- his junior year was full of bad decisions and I felt his awesome Rose Bowl performance carried his stock. But he's making his progressions and his long throws have been on point at the next level.

Trent Williams anyone?

Never thought I'd see the day Ted Ginn beat Revis for a TD. That's definitely not Chad Pennington throwing those passes tonight.

How ballsy is Miami for using Pat White at this stage of the game?? Wow.

Henne is simply better than Sanchez. Sure, he's a year ahead developmentally, but Henne is the better of the two prospects in my mind.

Once again Tripp showing his state of Michigan bias :)

Great game. Hoping it goes into OT.

Hey a Jason Taylor sighting!

Damn, I was hoping for OT football. I wonder if Pennington getting hurt was a blessing in disguise for Miami...they get their young QB in their with their good running game.

I think I'd like if Pennington/Campbell were 1 & 2 on our depth chart next year. I don't really care in which order.

none of those games were on here

Are we really going to be satisfied with below average play because there are other below average teams? Of course we're not the only bad team

I'm looking at Miami's offense and wondering why we don't do some of the stuff they do. They even broke out the old Joe Gibbs moving pocket play. Amazing.

I'm just saying, for those people lamenting that we didn't toss multiple first round picks at Sanchez, there are better fish in the seas. Pun intended.

Does Pennington have a shoulder to throw though? That would not be a bad idea if it meant getting o-lineman with the first and second rounders, and a LB with the third...knowing our team though they'll prob get a LB with the first rounder.

well no reason to worry about there being other bad teams too

we're the only team that we should be worried about sucking, doesn't matter if we're in the company of others, unless we're on the winning side of things

in before "wasn't saying I was worrying" lol

He doesn't need them to be open by twenty yards or more for a 50/50 chance of a completion.

yep.. I've been reading this a lot lately and it's been something that I've been complaining about

put the ball where it should be on the throw and let the WR catch it.. campbell's accuracy right now might not favor that situation though

Re: It's a joy watching other teams play

Three things struck me from tonight's game:

*How both organizations have developed their young QBs. And not only with these two teams, but around the league. Both Sanchez and Henne look like they're the future of their respective franchises. Chad Henne threaded a couple of sick throws. Just sick.

*The coaching and execution on both sides were very evident. Not a bunch of penalties or mental errors and great all around play calling. I can't really say either guy was outcoached, but the Dolphins just outplayed the Jets when it counted.

*The Jets have fifteen first round draft picks on their roster. What, fifteen first round picks! The impact of a credible GM can't be overstated. Along those same lines, and no pun intended, it's worth noting that Brick Ferguson and Jake Long are both first round draft picks and were killing it tonight. Just saying.

Talk about coming back from the dead...

The Redskins should take a play from the Jets and Dolphins, as each team has used a first rounder in a tackle (Ferguson for the Jets and Long for Miami).

He just tends to prefer to underthrow the deep fade rather than lauch it out in front. He can't make that throw to Ginn, but he's the kind of quarterback who can make Malcolm Kelly a star, and possibly Santana Moss relevant again.

And not only can't he make that throw to Ginn, but he can't make that throw where he rolled out near the end zone. I believe it was to #83. He zipped it. That was a big time NFL throw.
