17 not sure who wins, depends on the fourth quarter, one of us with have a costly turnover or penalty, and that will be the game inner, i hope it's us |
Re: Skins v. Dallas Predictions
Guarantee is such a big word. Im not a betting man, but if I were I would put my money on the 'Skins. The line as I read it today is Dallas by 11.
That is a big number to me and I think Washington covers. They still lose, but they cover. But the same can be said about the Dallas defense, they have only given up more that 21 points once the whole season. And that was the Giants game where the Giants got 21 points off turnovers. The offense has scored greater than 27 points in 5 of 8 games this season. So I think the chances are pretty good. But CERTAINLY not gauranteed.
As M. Wilbon always says, the line is created to entice people to place bets, not to accurately predict the game. I think our D is going to get exposed a bit, but still keep the points down. I see something like, 24-17 Dallas after we get a late mop up td. |
Re: Skins v. Dallas Predictions
Keep in mind that Hayneworth is a gametime decision and Smoot will be playing the whole game over Rogers. I can see the Dallas WR corp taking advantage of that.
Also Romo will most likely not be sidelined by halftime. Skins played a great game last week verse the Broncos but good teams stay competitive consistently. We're not a good team this year so I expect the Skins to come back down to earth. |
Re: Skins v. Dallas Predictions
Well we shutdown Texas Stadium with a win. I see us going in there kickin the doors off the hinges, slammin Romo down all day from all angles. Wittten will get put out the game by one of our CB's. Austin and Williams will get shutdown by our secondary just to prove last weeks 2 big plays to B.Marshall were just mistakes not an every week occurrence.
The offense has something to prove, and who better to use as a doormat. We continue our 1 2 punch with Betts and Rock. This will be where the game is won or lost and it all starts with JC, who's heart will he break ours or theirs. The only positive for Dallas is that they most likely will see ARE back there in punt return to screw us when we start building some type of groove. With that said we will open The Billion Dollar Dibacle with a WIN, and you Sandstrapjack will have a good view on DA JERRAH TRON! |

Re: Skins v. Dallas Predictions
Dallas has a better record and that's the extent of it. No way I pick against the Redskins playing them.
Redskins 24 Boys 17 |
Re: Skins v. Dallas Predictions
Mike Wise wrote about how the rivalry is more intense with us then it is with them. Ok. Dallas isn't playing well and we're playing better than we have all year. Betts has shown we can have a running game with this o-line and that makes JC's job a whole lot easier. We're finally playing some smashmouth football and guys like Devin Thomas are playing with heart and determination. Columbo is out and our d-line is playing lights out. The Cowgirls and the Redskins are heading in different directions and I like our chances. Keep doing what you do Fred Davis. Carter, AH, Orakpo.... Who's Romo's backup? They're gonna need him.

I think C-Los should be covering Witten all game if he gets burnt by Witten then he shoudnt ever suit up again for us. He has to prove he wants it but I hope he is assigned Witten, cuz Witten will eat up most LB's in the league. |

I just posted on the what if we beat Dallas thread its # 32. So Big AL doesn't practice at all or is it just the injury? He is always running out of gas you are right about that. Orakpo is going to play big especially that this will be his first game back in Texas and against Dallas. |

24-21 Skins in a tight one...Orakpo gets to Romo 3 times

Jairus Byrd free safety for the Bills (dude has 8 ints), James Laurinitis Middle LB for the Rams, and any rookie LB from USC |

Romo will take the beating of his life.

Re: Skins v. Dallas Predictions
This is going to be a toss up. I think we're going to need a turnover or two to get this one. And Betts will need to get another 100 yard game.
I'm going on a limb guys. Skins: 27 Dallas: 10
With that score prediction you must think Romo is going to have one of his crappy days. I give that a solid 50/50 chance. I think it is going to be a typical close game like it has been for the past 5 years. The outcome all depends on Romo's play( his o line also). Skins can take it, but it will be like a 13-10, 17-14 type affair. |

I'm happy to see that the coaching and training staff are acting with caution about Portis. No need to rush him back.
Haynesworth was walking with a boot today, still I think he plays. But Anthony Montgomery should/could see his first action this Sunday |

on practice squad, he hasn't really shown much, and i still don't know why we picked him up. he had a good preseason, but so did mason and aldrige, and dorsey wasn't that bad imo, for pre season. i would have liked to keep aldridge he has that explosive burst that would be nice to have every so often |

20-17 skins
|
Re: Skins v. Dallas Predictions
21-20 Redskins.
Moss will catch a 45 yd TD pass with less than a minute left in the game. Betts runs for 93 yds and a score. Orakpo wipes that stupid smile off Tony Romo's face...for good! Wade Phillips will stand on the sideline looking like a confused little kid trying to find his balloon that floated away! (His usual look on the sideline). |

I can't pick Dallas, I just can't.
Redskins 23 Cowboys 20 OT |

Skins win close one. 33-30.

Re: Skins v. Dallas Predictions
I'm getting so sick of reading all this shit about Miles Austin. Can anyone say Ashley Lelie? He had a few good games and a sick YPC, but then he fell off the radar. He was playing over his head for a few games, but you don't all of a sudden just "get it" after that many years in the league.
