I used to be an O's fan, but under the current ownership they have really been torn apart with bad trades. Now I root for the Nats and like the way Rizzo does things. They still need a better bullpen, though.

Nice win by the Nats. Old guns came out today.
Also the Mets beat the Card in 20 innings. Yupp two zero lol. |

Re: Nat's and O's - 2010 MLB Season

What a shitshow the O's are. Terry Crowley (hitting coach) needs to fired. Go ahead and get rid of Trembley, too. Bring in Cal Ripken in some capacity asap.

Left, had dinner, watched the Caps game, and then I saw the game was still going on! I thought it was a double-header Go Nats! They're playing hard which is all you can ask for |

I dont think its his fault that the Orioles get so many first pitch out's. I think Trmebley has checked out and it shows by how the team is playing. Crowley turned Pie around late last season and he is off to a good start this season(excluding injuries). Let's see if he can get Atkins back to the 300 hitter he used to be. Plus it should be known that the Orioles dont have a true power hitter nor are they trying to generate runs by stealing bases and playing small ball. |

But Adam Jones is struggling big time, so is Markakis. Jones CANNOT lay off the low and away pitch, and is just getting used. He could be a power hitter. He certainly has 30-35 HR potential. Getting utility guys like Pie to hit well is great and all, but we need our stars to shine if we want to go anywhere. Trembley is awful though. The guys apparently had a players only meeting before the game last night. Millwood called for it. Glad to see that worked. |

Marlon Byrd just had a hell of a behind the back catch against the Nats, should show up on SC.. looked like he lost it in the sun, went to flip his hand to catch it.. fell right into his glove behind his back

Yeah, Wigginton is the only one hitting for power so far this year.
Adam Jones is really living up to his profile picture from when he joined the team. |

I used to root for the Orioles...Then Angelos bought them and proceeded to ruin a very good team. I now root for the Nats and right now they're sitting at 13-12. They need a couple of starters to add to their pitching corps. Their farm system looks tremendous. Rizzo is doing a good job.

O's can score 7 and lose.. or like tonight.. only score 1 I think that the announcers said that we've been in 11 games decided by 1 run |

Yeah, I fell asleep for a couple of innings and woke up in the 8th. If anything the Nats need stability as far as pitching goes, hopefully he can continue to provide it. Good job by the O's getting the shutout tonight; first one in about a month I believe. Was asleep during the homer :( |

Re: Nat's and O's - 2010 MLB Season

Great job Os. you have a fairly full stadium for a day game on a beautifl sunday afternoon. there must have been 7,000 plus little league players in attendance. During teh whole game they are chanting and routing you on.
What do the Os do? go 8 innings of scoreless baseball. way to send those kids home with a memory. im sure they and their parents cant wait to go back to the yard and spend another 100 bucks to watch you guys put up zeros. i didnt think it would be this bad. i thought we had made improvements. no 1st baseman (i thought atkins could get back to form), b rob has been out almost all season, |

you are incorrect sir. i would rather watch skins ravens 100 times over. i was actually at the game last night had a good time too, didn't really see much baseball though, i blame the cuervo. i did score a pretty sweet ass nats hat, pretty f-ing lame they only have fitted hats in one store in the whole ball park, but it was worth the hunt. and one last thing F metro |

I like the metro, what happened?
:rant:well on the way there we had a delay the train in front of us had "door problems" so that sucked and that also meant our train was operated manualy and that was awful the operator just slammed on the brakes at every stop. not to mention we picked up the other trains passengers so it was super packed. then on the way home we decided to dip out right at the top of the eight to beat the rush, got to the platform and proceeded to wait 37 f-ing minutes for the train to show up by which time the game was over and the platform was packed as shit. oh and the damn escalator at lefant turned off right when we got on to go up. and to top it off it was like $10 round trip and then parking, if you have to make that commute everyday thats around 300 a month. bottom line f metro i always say never again but this time i think i'm really done. |

Re: Nat's and O's - 2010 MLB Season

did the nats play the os in balmore last year?
i know we played them in dc last year cuz this ahole who we bought tickets from never mentioned that he is in a wheelchair and his seats are really just a flat area where you park your wheelchair. ahole said they were front row, the said AA on them. then after watching dunn hit 2 grand slams, we lost then my girl face planted into the concrete abd has a 10,000 hospital bill. when i got home all hammer time drunk, i called that ahole and we had a great argument cursing fight for 5 mins, about 10 mins later we were friends and talking. rather odd. so did the nats come to camden last year? |

dang it. the nats own the Os and the ravens own the skins.
gosh dangit. got 10 hours community service then case will be nollied for running onto the Os field opening day. funny part, my girl got 20 hours and she only hoped on after i was getting arrested to talk to the police officers. so this friday, i will be wearing a reflective thing over my shirt as i spend 8 hours cleaning the local highways. so now whenever someone mentions those guys on the side of the raod cleanign highways, i have a story for that as well. its not that hard. i literally have atleast 5 good stories from this one incident. most come from 16 hours in baltimore city central booking on a friday night to saturday afternoon. like this one. i am placed in the paddy wagon on one side which is walled off from the other side of the paddy wagon where my girlfriend was, i couldnt see her but i could hear her as she was crying and being tossed about the wagon. apparently she never got into a seat and was rolling on the floor. anyways, she has told me she loves me before. i never reciprocated. when i tell her, i want to be sure and all that jazz. anyways, shes crying and says she loves me and i better buy her a big fucking ring, shes never been arrested before. so my first "i love you honey" to her was while we were in the police paddy wagon. |

Probably pitchers according to MLB Probable Pitchers - CBSSports.com :
05/19 - Livan pitched on 3 days' rest 05/20 - Atilano pitched 05/21 - Olsen pitched, went on DL 05/22 - Stammen pitched 05/23 - Lannan pitched --------------------------------------------------------------- Probables: 05/25 - Livan Hernandez 05/26 - Atilano 05/27 - Stammen 05/28 - Lannan 05/29 - TBA 05/30 - Livan Hernandez 05/31 - Atilano 06/01 - Stammen 06/02 - Lannan 06/03 - TBA 06/04 - Livan Hernandez? Well...their 2nd starter is the "To Be Announced" spot from Olsen's absense and if they make no changes to order, it looks like it COULD be Livan. There's a lot of time for adjustments between now and June 4 though. Injuries, missed starts, extra rest days (Livan would be the one who needs that if anyone). It's already going to be thrown out of whack with Olsen going on the DL. Livan took his turn early last time with 3 days rest. If he just takes over the vacant #2 spot, you might not see him. As of today, they only have the probables listed through June 3, so check the link closer to the game, although it is subject to change, especially with a team-changer like Strasburg involved. Olsen is expected to miss two starts (both listed as "TBA"). I wouldn't expect Strasburg to take over Olsen's #2 spot though. MASN is reporting June 4 though. MASNsports.com - GOOD LUCK. Hope you see the debut. |

Re: Nat's and O's - 2010 MLB Season

Definitely not looking forward to facing Tim Lincecum tomorrow if we are going to show up like we did tonight. This team is starting to show signs of the old Nationals and I don't like it at all. I know we aren't a great team, but this team has shown the signs of being good, they just need to keep it up.
