According to YouTube 9.26 mbps. See thats the thing about Direct TV vs Comcast for me. Sure DirectTV might offer comparable TV service, especially if they have an on demand section, but Comcast comes with ridiculously fast internet. At least in my area.

Brownie points?! Please. Sometimes I have to gently remind her that sports is what pays for most of our bills, takes her out to dinner, buys her new clothes, treats her to international vacations...but I'm still not getting Sunday Ticket, fortunately I don't really need it.

My comment was precipitated by another poster saying that he wouldnt pay that much money to watch a game on a laptop screen. I was merely pointing out that the game will work on any sized screen. Hell, with the right equipment, a toshiba laptop can stream 720P wirelessly to your TV with the touch of a button. Internet-streamed television is the future. Right now, I only pay $8 a month to get basic, HD network channels from my cable provider. Everything else, I stream from Hulu and Netflix. There simply isnt a reason for most people to pay $60-120 for television service anymore.

Dude it's hard enough for me to sit and watch us play for 3 hours without getting griped out lol. Much less get a drink. Needless to say, I love when my wife hangs with her friends on sundays. Hell I damn near had to make her sign a contract when we first moved in together, just to get the ticket lol

I literally built my wife what I call a "cocoon" so that I would not have to feel bad about game day. A room with a HDTV for her to watch sappy chick flicks, all of the scrapbooking gear (her hobby), a couch, desk, etc. I turn on the game, she goes upstairs and lets the estrogen flow.

Are you kidding me, my wife would kill me if the [B]Skins[/B] were not on Sunday! I have to pull out an old taped game on bye weeks cause we have to wait for the extra week. I would almost hate to say that my wife likes the Skins more than me!!! But she doesn't I just let her think She does.

Sundays are Heaven n my house! All three games are watched...some games just a little here and there as the kids are in and out of the house playing with friends...They know Sunday is for God ([I]8:30AM Church first thing as any other time is out of the question[/I]) and Football! Day of Rest all right...and my wife is there the whole way! I have brothers and friends that have to escape to watch football... They come over to my house. All of you are welcome to sing the Redskins fight song when we score at my home. I am just a 8-9 hour drive from D.C. !!!!

Because they dropped the price from $40 to $10, I watched the Jets game on a live stream from NFL.com. It appears to be set up the same way as their $350 regular season package: promised 720p, etc.

Here is what I found:
a) while my tv said the signal was 720p, it was not a clear 720p. I think it is a lower resolution signal that gets upconverted, so it is not true 720p. While the picture was better than that of most free internet streams, it was not that great. Not $350 great, that's for sure.
b) the signal still had some of the start-stop interruptions found in free streams.

Was it better than free? Yes. Was it a lot better than free? No.

BTW I have a fast cable internet connection, high speed home network, laptop with HD video card, and a high-speed HDMI cable connection between laptop and TV.

Has anybody subscribed to Directv Sunday Ticket to go? Is it pretty smooth without buffering? I know you can watch the games for free, but it's a pain in the ass when they drop and you have to find another feed (lots of wasted game time). This is my only option, since I can't get Directv due to too many Eucalyptus tree in my backyard. Just wanted some feedback before I sign up.

I have DTV with the Sunday Ticket and the extra stuff,they used to call it Superfan but they just told me they dont call it that anymore.I have not tried to watch any of the games on a computer,just my iphone.Pictures not that great and it really sucks the life out of my battery quick,but its still pretty amazing.Sunday it quit working during the 3 o clock games,said they were having "technical difficulties".But luckily I was at home watching the skins game and not depending on my phone for the game,I was using the phone to look at other games

So do you have to have " superfan " to get live games on your iPhone? I have the Sunday ticket at home but it wouldn't let me watch on my phone. Last season it did and I thought it was awesome..

you have to have something extra but its not called superfan,I forget what they call it now.It might be called sunday ticket to go like SFREDSKIN was talking about.I didnt know I didnt have till the 1st sunday and it wasnt working on my phone.So I called directtv and said WTF? I had Directv with the Sunday ticket for about 10 years. When I moved last year to my new home I called Directv to move my service, the technician informed that he couldn't get a line of sight, I was so pissed that I had to get a second opinion and was told the same (big hill and trees in my backyard). My neighbor informed me that he went through the same thing. Hopefully this will make up for it.

For me there is nothing better than having the Redzone channel on my iphone while I am at the beach in the morning and then coming home to watch the Skins at 1:15 (with some cold Shiner Bock waiting in the fridge)--both courtesy of DirectTV. I don't miss all those walks to the sports bar in Gramercy when I lived in NYC for 5 years...

I them say way Ilove the Sunday ticket. I'll tell you one thing if you cant get the game for whatever reason Lotus saved me last week because he provided us with some links to veiw the game and they were great. I could save sum dough live streaming but it just doesn't feel the same with crystal clear hd.
