Re: Broncos WR Kenny McKinley found dead
Not necessarily. A friend of mine lost his dad to suicide. The dad felt he could not give his wife and kids what they want, and saw suicide as the only way he could provide for them through a life insurance policy.
At least from my knowledge Insurance doesn't pay on a suicide,at least no policy I have ever seen.Pretty much all insurers let that be known up front. |
Re: Broncos WR Kenny McKinley found dead
Typically, life insurance policies don't pay out for suicide within the first 2 years of the policy. After that they will pay.
What could poses a man (other than not being able to stay healthy) with an NFL career to kill themselves?
Steroids and other illegal performance enhancing substances are proven to create mental instability and suicidal tendencies/thoughts. |
Re: Broncos WR Kenny McKinley found dead
Mental illness is real and impacts people of all walks of life. I wish this young man sought help.

Some will have a 2 year clause, where after the 2 year mark suicide is payable, this is what my friend's dad had. |
