Re: It's F'ing Rams week!
Best outcome this week:
We stomp the Rams, Houston stomps Dallas Worst outcome: not even mentioning but you get the idea. This week will be a great test to see if MS really has brought a no nonsense, play hard every week attitude, or if it was just another of a long history of talk with no follow up. |
Any word on Kareem Moore yet? I am sure he is still Out, but really haven't heard any progress since last week.
Redskins Insider - Kareem Moore expects to be ready Sunday
Kareem Moore expects to be ready Sunday Safety Kareem Moore says he expects to make his season debut at St. Louis Sunday, but other players are plagued by injuries that kept them from fully practicing on Wednesday. Left tackle Trent Williams, who sprained his knee against the Texans, did not practice with his teammates Wednesday, but the team is not ruling him out of Sunday's game. "We'll evaluate him every day," Coach Mike Shanahan said. "Hopefully, he'll be ready to go." Receiver Anthony Armstrong also did not practice Wednesday because of a groin injury. In releasing running back Larry Johnson Tuesday, the team mentioned needing special teams help because of injuries. Armstrong appears to be the lone special teams contributer who did not practice Wednesday. The first-year receiver said he hopes to play Sunday, but Shanahan said Armstrong will be evaluated each day this week. Defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth was limited in practice. Defensive coordinator Jim Haslett said Haynesworth is still bothered by the ankle he sprained in practice last Wednesday. "Hopefully, there's no setback," Shanahan said. As for Moore, the free safety apparently practiced fully Wednesday for the first time since undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery Aug. 23. He was limited in practice last Thursday and Friday and was ruled out for the team's first two games. Reed Doughty has been starting in his place. "It felt good," Moore said after practice. For a rebuilding team, every game is a must-win to make the playoffs. Doesn't matter if it's week 3, we beat the Rams we're where we need to be; we don't beat the rams, i highly doubt we make the playofs |

We lost a game 52-7 and lost to the Bills and still made the playoffs a few years ago. One loss doesn't make a break a season. There could be a game we're unexpected to win go our way...which is very possible looking at our killer schedule. Heck, if not for Suisham, we would have beaten the SB champs Saints last year, and honestly, we were a pathetic team, lucky to finish 4-12 with the incompetent people running our team (Vinny, Zorn, Mr. Bingo) |

We ended up not needing any tiebreakers, thanks to the Cowboys rolling over and playing dead for us in Week 17. And then never coming out of the fetal position. Minnesota, Philly, and Arizona were all 8-8 that year. We beat all of them once each. |

They destroyed us, I remember when CC scored late in the game and I was embarrassed lol |
Re: It's F'ing Rams week!
I think cause we passed so well last week we'll be able to run against the rams scared of our passing attack. Just like our being afraid of the texans run let them pass on us.

Re: It's F'ing Rams week!
This is the exact game that will define this team .. in years past we would not show up for the first half of this game and fall behind and hit the panic button.. the new regime needs to have this team focused and ready to treat the Rams like they are the Patriots or this one smells like trouble to me ... 1-2 heading into Philly is a major major problem ... take care of business ... hit bradford in the mouth ... let D Hall be D Hall and get Clinton going ... we finish out Houston and we are talking a lot different stuff ... until we show we can win the games we HAVE to win i'm a little scared of them ... the life of a Skins' fan, pepto bismol followed by coors light and repeat.

I agree 99% with your statement. Good teams and generally playoff teams don't lose games the way the Skins did last week. The Rams are a team we are ahead of in most facets of the game. A playoff team should come away with a victory. Change that coors light to a Dogfish Head 90 minute and I'm with you all the way. |

Just heard that Trent Williams is still limping badly and may not start.
Kareem Moore is ready to roll. Said he can't "wait to get that first hit on somebody". |
Re: It's F'ing Rams week!
I could see Portis getting between 85 -100 yards this weekend.

I said it before- I don't think we should take any opponent lightly - but St. Louis doesn't exactly have a premier edge rusher. I think we can get away with Heyer and Brown at the tackle spots this weekend. I want big Silverback as healthy as possible for Philly/GB/Indy in the coming weeks. |
Re: It's F'ing Rams week!
good call gm, i didnt think trent would even be a candidate to start this weekedn but if he is i think we should shelve him for the rams game just to play it safe.
i really dont think we are going to blowout the rams or win easily. im having a hard time believing the aerial attack we saw last week will continue. should be fun to see how bradford looks and to see how the haz schemes his D for a rookie signal caller. |
Re: It's F'ing Rams week!
I don't know, Chris Long may be good enough to cause Heyer trouble.

I wasn't sold on Bradford before the draft, but I've changed my stance. I think he'll be a star in this league. But I hope he looks like a deer in headlights this weekend. |

Re: It's F'ing Rams week!
what is up with chris long? the boy needs to add some bulk and muscle to that frame of his which did him well in college but i think he is out powered in the nfl. thats one pick the rams did that i didnt understand.
is there OT rookie from last year, the good tackle named smith, is he starting as their LT? hopefully orakpo can get a multi sack game. |
Re: It's F'ing Rams week!
Long's been really great through two games this year.
He's shown flashes through his first two seasons as well. Wouldn't be shocking at all if 2010 was his breakout year. Laurinitis is playing well also, but the key for him is to keep putting him in space where he is uncomfortable. Atogwe has a great reputation, but too often is more of an "overseer" in centerfield than a game changer. His best asset is covering for teammates who blow assignments. Which is why the Rams never get better on defense. |
