Re: Its Fu**ing Eagles Week!!!!
As much as I hate to say it, I do not like our chances. When was the last time we played well on a Monday night? The Eagles are a very quick team and quick strike team. They will get their big plays against us. In addition, the only reason we beat them last time is that we ran well against them. Torrain injured, Portis injured, Klieland Williams? Please - I like the guy but we aren't getting morre than 75 yards on the ground with him toting the rock. On top of all that, our LB's, while decent pass rushers and run pluggers, couldn't cover their head if you gave them a hat.
Philly eat's us alive. Grossman starts in the 2nd half. Philly 31 Skins 14
Everyone said this when we played them the first time. |

Give me a break! I hate the media...
First I've heard of those comments from Feinstein. I know Jason Whitlock made some similar comments (though he later backtracked) saying something like "I'm surprised Shanahan didn't tell McNabb to sit on the bench and eat some fried chicken" but several other members of the media responded to Whitlock's comments and said this had nothing to do with race, and to play the race card or accuse Shanahan of being racist was out of line. So let's not go and lump the media all together on this Feinstein is being ridiculous |
Re: Its Fu**ing Eagles Week!!!!
I think we win. But my reasons are less football oriented and more personality driven.
1) the Eagles just beat the f***in Colts. That is a pretty good high to come off of. 2) the Skins team looks in disarray(but my gut says they aren't). I don't think that the Eagles are as much of a front running team as the Cowboys, but I think that they will tend to be over-confident. I think Vick will play a little more fearless "just to show them they didn't scare him", and that will lead to bad decisions. Shanahan either was an idiot or evil genius with his benching McNabb. Since I rarely saw him do idiotic things in Denver (mind numbing yes, idiotic no) I think he knows what he was doing, both for that game, and for the season. McNabb has generally responded well when benched, and I think we are going to see a high performance month in November from him. Yeah Cinci lost, but being a home underdog against a division rival, when you beat them once at their place. I think Shanahan and company will come out and put quite a display on. The Eagles are not a thundering herd, and will make mistakes. We will just need to capitalize on them. Ultimately, there's not a lot of football analytics that are going to "prove" we will win, but hopefully my smoke and mirrors have convinced even a legal mind like Joe. This is a game of who wants it most, and I believe when the final whistle is blown, McNabb will be kneeling with the ball and the W. Skins 24 Eagles 22. |

Skins 24 Eagles 22.
I can't come up with too many football reasons we will win this game. That doesn't mean there aren't any good ones, but it's just that it relies on our players and coaches who have underachieved to this point need to come out and play particularly well out of a bye. It's not rare for that to happen with two weeks to prepare, but I'd say it's a bit unlikely. I think the fact that the Eagles had an 8th day to prepare for this game negates some of the advantage we got in preparation thanks to our bye. |

I'll be pulling for you guys this week. I think Philly is the 2nd best team in the conference and the more they lose the better.

We would still be lucky to get a wild card spot with the way our schedule is down the stretch even if we win this week. I know, I know, ever the optimist. |

McNabb will be motivated. Look at his performances following his last benching in Philly. Plus, we're playing Philly. |

First, I just quoted some twitter facts, I didn't really add or delete anything. Second, and to your point specifically, the Giants have been known to collapse late in the season(started 6-0 last year failed to make playoffs). I expect them to lose to Dallas this week(call it a rebound game for the Cowboys more than a loss for the Giants), and we do play them twice, as does Philly, so these next 8 weeks ought to be very interesting. Which is better then the last 8 weeks last year, so I'm ok with that. |

As a result of all that's happened since his last start, seeing how McNabb bounces back is must see. Let's hope history will repeat itself and his performance will be such that we can at least temporarily, concentrate on something more positive than the last two weeks. More so now than the game in Philly, all eyes on McNabb. |

"You know what? I play this game the way I play it," Vick said. "I'm not going to change. I think I did a good job of protecting myself at times, and times when I knew the hit wasn't going to be as devastating I was able to protect myself. "But I'm not going to play this game scared or hesitant or conservative. I'm going to go out and give it 110 percent and everything I got. At the end of the day I want to tell myself I gave it everything I had and didn't hold anything back. It's just me playing my game." Agreed! I knew that I overreached on that one. But at some point, it's hard to believe that with as many times the ball hits him in the hands he won't find a way to hold on to it. |

You're absolutely right, but if Kolb can lead them all the way back with checkdowns, what do you think would have happened had Vick finished the game? We can't score at will. |
Re: Its Fu**ing Eagles Week!!!!
The first meeting was a mini-Body Bag game for Philly. If our boys play that physical again on Monday night, the Skins will win going away. I expect Haynesworth to dominate.
|
Re: Its Fu**ing Eagles Week!!!!
To win against Philly, we need some changes in the O-line. Especially at center. Rabach stinks! We should have won the games against the Rams and Lions!!!

Re: Its Fu**ing Eagles Week!!!!
I gotta change my avatar...He shouldn't mess with McNabb. Now McNabb will try too hard and he needs to be settled down.

Re: Its Fu**ing Eagles Week!!!!
I'm not going to BS anyone...
This game is Monster Huge We must be at our best come Monday Night. Not only are the Eagles going to want to try to keep pace with the Giants by going 6-3,they will want revenge from last game and to beat McNabb and to avoid the sweep. For us...it's a season changer imo... We win we go 5-4...3-0 in the Div...5-2 in the Conf...and a sweeping tiebreaker over philly. And possibly...only 1 game back behind the Giants,if Dallas can surprise them that week as well. (Hey..you never know..with new coach and all) We lose...and were in a lot of trouble I'll just say that. If Mcnabb can have a good to great game(better than last one) coming off the bye and relatively healthy,it could not only set the tone for the team, but give mcnabb a boost of confidence as well as coaching staff. And Shanny... Just let McNabb play man! keep your ego in check bud.. |

Re: Its Fu**ing Eagles Week!!!!
If the Eagles & Vick come together & play like they did against the Colts we're in for a long game.

Re: Its Fu**ing Eagles Week!!!!
As many have said, this game is about as must win as it gets. If we fall to 4-5, we're definitely out of the division race, because the Giants should be 7-2 on Sunday. If we can win here, we'll pull even with Philadelphia and have to wins over them. I think ultimately the wild card comes down to Philadelphia, Tampa Bay, New Orleans and if we can win this game, Washington.
We already beat Philadelphia once, in Philly, so I dont see why this game is not winnable. Philadelphia is playing really well right now, but they were also at the top of their game going into the last game in Philly. It's going to be a close game, no doubt about it; and we'll see what happens. If we can get any offense going, I think we have a good shot. |

Im with you Quake. Hearing this horsesh*t excuse of the only reason we won is cause of an injury is insane. Kolb is not a bad quarterback and Vick hadnt did sh*t up until the injury. We won cause we were the better team that day. I dont want to hear the next bs excuse of "we were lucky"...its the NFL injuries happen all day long, every game. Good teams have to step up. |
Re: Its Fu**ing Eagles Week!!!!
Kolb was King Checkdown that day. Mr. Vick will not play so nice.
