Re: How Did We Go This Long Without A New Haynesworth Thread?
Whats the big deal. The guy is just looking to cash in with no witnesses what can they prove. My defense would be that a 6'6" 350 pound man does not hit you in the nose and only leave you with a contusion. It looks more like this.

I second this. We should've moved on this year. |
Re: How Did We Go This Long Without A New Haynesworth Thread?
Huh...? He couldn't be on the field because he didn't want to play in a 3-4,4-3, 2-5 before even trying and the coach's....gosh awful. Or might have just been on the field laying on stomach with play unfolding while getting ready to nap....forget the okie not good enough, hurt, not a Nose Tackle, Not coming to camp/mandatory, can't run sprints or pass a simple physical, or maybe even not playing due to a 4 game suspension for conduct detrimental to team, this guy is full of excuses and shit. Thats just retarded. The guy is a worthless circus act!
Get that big fat ass bust/locker room bone cancer the hell outta DC.....it won't happen soon enough.
I don't care about all of that. Is it going to cause the team to lose games ? Did he cause all the losses this year ? No, find a way to make it work, he can be a valuable asset on the field. I understand all that has gone on but these are grown men, can they find a way to make it work ?
|

Folks keep talking about the schemes Fat Albert wont play in....maybe we should take a more positive approach and look at the scheme that he really wants: THE 1 Scheme |
Re: How Did We Go This Long Without A New Haynesworth Thread?
I'm thinking that the guy who gave AH the finger may not have done it because AH was tailgating him. The guy may simply be a Redskins fan who recognized AH when the vehicles were close together.

I don't know what all the fuss is about. I like football players with a nasty side. This isn't golf.

Re: How Did We Go This Long Without A New Haynesworth Thread?
I thought as a result of the Andre Gurode incident a few years back, AH was subjected to a course in "anger management", a course designed to help harness a sometimes out of control demeanor. Either he failed the course, or the course failed him and he continues to make story lines.
|
Re: How Did We Go This Long Without A New Haynesworth Thread?
44ever:
"Crossthreading" is taking something from one thread on a discussion board and inserting it into a different thread on that discussion board. Here the "crossthreading" is the lawsuit by Danny Boy against City Paper and inserting it here as a means by which Danny Boy can get Phat Al to play hard for the Skins. If you don't like "crossthreading" call it a "lame attempt at humor". :embarrass Longtimefan: Indeed Haynesworth did take an anger management course back then. I don't know that it is that the course failed him or that he failed the course. Haynesworth has a long history of anger management "issues" and the idea that a single course of a couple weeks' duration can provide a lifetime immunity from any longstanding psychological "issue" is "wildly optimistic". The course seemed to work for him for a while. Now it appears to be something that has receded into his dim memory instead of being "front and center" in his mind. :twocents: |

Albert Haynesworth reports to Reston District police station By Mike Jones Washington Redskins defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth appeared with his attorney at the Reston District Police station around 10 a.m. today, according to the Fairfax County Police Department's Information Office. Haynesworth, 29, was interviewed by officers, signed what is called a releasable warrant that charged him with assault in conjunction with the alleged road rage altercation he had with a fellow driver on Feb. 2. Haynesworth then was free to leave. He will appear in Fairfax County Criminal Court at 9:30 a.m. on March 31. |

You'll be waiting at least another two to three year. He is still an NFL caliber player at a position that is not always easy to fill. As long as AH can play a team somewhere will want him. This alleged traffic altercation is not worthy of being banished from the NFL. |

Funny you mention bankruptcy, but I whole heartedly believe that this idiot will be bankrupt within 5 years of his last NFL gig. He's already got lawsuits against him for failure to pay on loans. Also, I think his next team will be his last go around in the NFL too. No team is going to bring in a headache that doesn't perform. At least with TO, you knew he was going to show up and perform. AH doesn't even do that and still gives you the problems. My co-worker keeps saying "yup, you were right about this one from the get go" to me at work when his name came up. I knew it was going to blow up in our faces with all the red flags out there. |

"It may still work out," Snyder said. "You never know."
Dan Snyder may be a lot of things but, stupid he is not. When an owner invests as much in a player as he has in Haynesworth, it would only be natural for him to want the situation to work out, if at all possible. |
Re: How Did We Go This Long Without A New Haynesworth Thread?
Kinda disgusting the latest national redskins headlines have been player stab at a club at 3 in the morning and assult charges filed against skins player in a road rage incident. Im not accessing blame, but im just saying not good from an organizational standpoint.

well i'm not sure there is much that will "banish" you from the nfl, but i highly doubt any team that may sign him will give him a contract of much worth. he already owes on a kid or two and a few boats, the only comforting thing as a redskins fan in my eyes is even if we over paid him, he showed his true colors and will never get anything like that money again. i just want to move forward from haynesworth and hopefully never over pay an aging free agent again |

Hmmmmm.....well I'm not one to defend anything Stainsworth does but this doesnt seem like that big of a deal.
She gave him permission to put his hand there and it seems like he copped an extra bit of a feel which is obviously inappropriate but this sounds like a golddigger scenario to me. |
