I highly doubt they'd kill Tara off. I foresee someone's unforeseen death coming, probably as an innocent bystander where the hit was intended for someone like Tara's. But sooner or later Clay needs to die.

That last episode was definitely rough but I gotta see what happens next.

The show has become about Clay...as much as it was intended to be about Charlie Hunman's Jax the story has played out to be about Clay and his crumbling ability to keep the club moving forward and operating. He is increasingly losing everyone but once he is gone then what is the show about? Probably not anything near as interesting.

Actually found tonight's episode a bit boring. No one knows Piney is dead. How long till that comes out? I think next week's will be good though. I'm so effin tired of Clay screwing up people's lives. Bahhhh.

Spoilers below

Well we haven't seen what Wayne is going to do with Piney's body, so it remains to be seen whether or not the other club members will find his body. I think it'll be Opie if the body is left at the cabin, because eventually he will get worried about the lack of contact and head up there.

The next episode looks to be pretty explosive though, now that we know the hit on Tara will take place in Oregon, and it appears she's kidnapped up there. I'm sure Jax or someone unforeseen (like Wayne) will go after the kidnappers, so we'll see what happens there. The whole time Clay and Gemma were talking at the end of the episode my entire train of thought was,"watch he's gonna sweet talk Gemma, promise this and that, and as soon as she leaves he's gonna call in the hit." And then it happened.

I think even though tonight's episode was a bit boring, it also served as a good setup episode for the events that will happen next week. So much is going down, between the cartel war, the letters angle, Juice/AUSA/Sheriff angle, that we're going to see a very serious episode next week.

For those interested, FX has added an extra episode to this season and the final episode is now Dec. 6

We are cooking with f'n gas now baby! I see no way Clay makes it out of this season as Pres of SAMCRO. I suppose there are a myriad of ways he doesn't die but seeing as how this season has been turned on its head into full-on "Clay must die" it seems that is the likely scenario.

Re: Sons of Anarchy

I think the end of this season is marking the start of his downfall which will get into full swing next season. Especially now that Gemma has turned on him.

You and me both. Yet another setting up the future episode, but damn if it won't make next week interesting as well. Loved how eerily reminiscent the final scene with Gemma and Unser was between that and Hamlet, which has drawn multiple comparisons to the show. In the ideal world, I see Gemma sitting down with Tara and Jax and coming clean about the letters, just setting up Clay's death, but I don't think that'll happen just like that. It'll be drawn out more before the end of the season, but I definitely see Clay's run as President coming to end by the end of the season. I'm just curious to know who dies. In between the cartel insisting on Tara's death, and how Jax will react upon learning about everything Clay has done, I feel like, in the words of Biggie, somebody's gotta die.

I wonder how they manage to do that in the middle of the season, and really not interrupt the storyline. Or maybe this is just an extras kinda thing where they will tie up loose ends. Or maybe it's just a filler episode. Either way, can't complain about more SOA. :)

Kurt Sutter asked for it. He had been tweeting that he had three eps worth of stuff for the finale so FX and he worked out a deal to do an extra. The way this season has been hitting on all cylinders they could add more as far as I am concerned.

Damn, I really need to start using my Twitter account more often. It's weird, I use FB daily, but Twitter? nope. Either way, I'm glad to hear they are adding another episode. This season has been so much better than season 3. I liked the Irish angle and all, but it felt like it took too long. I like seeing the Sons on American soil.

well, from the show's perspective it's what they had always wanted for this season and it wil wrap up some story lines this year instead of leaving cliff-hangers for next season (though I'm sure there will still be some)

Network brass approved and the extra episode has been added to the schedule. Won't be a filler or clip show

Another great episode. Can't wait for next week. I swear.. I think 1 Son dies per episode now. I'm surprised Unser spilled the beans to Opie. Although I guess you don't have a choice when you have a gun in your face.

You could say this episode was "explosive." :FIREdevil

Man I love when they do 1 1/2 hour episodes. I wish they'd do that every week haha. And yeah, sad to see Kozik go but as soon as I saw the mine kill the first guy I was like, ten bucks says a Son gets killed by one of them. I was holding my breath when it looked like Juice was intentionally trying to step on a mine.

And I suppose we should start taking bets on whether Clay will last the season at this point. And wtf is Gemma doing? She keeps turning around and going back on former decisions, it's annoying. At this point you have to think she's aware of how helpless she is when it comes to Clay, and yet she keeps trying to act like she's capable of pulling his puppet strings.

When I first saw the bullets go in his gut and right breast I thought, wow did they plan it like that to make us think there's a chance he survived? AKA cliffhanger till the next episode? But then next week's preview left no doubt.

All I can really say is finally. If the way things are going this season is any indication, his death is the first of the twelve steps to redemption. Curious to see how SOA gets out of their latest jam. Also think it's interesting that they revealed a storyline into next season about a probable custody battle between Jax/Tara and Wendy.

Yeah, I was definitely stunned at first too. I felt like there was actually a chance that he weasels his way out of somehow. And the whole episode I was like, Gemma wtf are you doing? God she's so stupid sometimes.

Money money money....she needs Clay around to make sure the deal with the Kings and Romeo gets done...clearly the Kings are wary of Jax...who'd be running the show once Clay is gone. Same for Jax... he needs Clay to make the deal so he can walk away. Now Bobby is in jail...Op's gone I would guess...how can Jax leave? There's no club if he leaves.

There's no way Jax leaves. And I'm still pondering whether or not Clay actually died. He knew Opie was pissed beforehand so I'm sure he had ample time to put on a bulletproof vest, not to mention the whole, if they really wanted to leave no doubt they'dve put one in his head. So idk, we all know how SOA loves to play things like this. But yeah as far as Jax leaving goes, nah. I just don't see it. They've been setting up Clay's departure for a while now, it would just piss fans off even more if he kept the throne and somebody else took the fall.

mooby 11-30-2011 01:45 AM

I feel like Clay's death is virtually assured next week now that Jax has read the letters. I'm curious to see how the club manages its way out of the USAA trap. Should be a great season finale next week.

Re: Sons of Anarchy

I totally forgot about this thread last night. I thought it was pretty good. I was somewhat surprised Gemma gave Jax the letters.. not surprised she took the letters that implied her and Unser's role in JT's death. But I'm glad Jax knows. As for Clay dying... I'd really like to see that happen in the last episode but Sutter is such an M. Night Shamalyan. You think one thing's gonna happen then... WHOOOPS.

I'm really interested how they're going to develop the story with Otto and Juice. 2 rats in the club.. Hmmm...

Shock of all shockers. Clay gets to live, Jax takes the throne, they get out of the usaa's thing only to find themselves in a much deeper hole, and it looks like the Irish/cartel deal is going to happen for better or worse.

Potter man. There's something about him. When he burst in on the Charming Heights meeting and then dumped the sex toys on the desk... Made his speech and left saying something like, the good guys need to win. I hope they bring him beck next season because there's like Roosevelt said, the dude is odd. And there's something a bit off about him.

I thought it was a good spin about the Cartel actually having the ins with the CIA. Never saw that coming.

I really enjoyed the end scene, with Tara and Jax morphing into the picture of JT and Gemma. Thought it had a nice changing of the guard touch to it.

I enjoyed seeing Potter bust in on the board meeting like that. Because even though I rooted for the club against him, I also root for things like the Charming Heights development to get rejected. When the club and the cops are both working towards that same goal I can accept that. And yeah the final scene was very powerful, I loved watching Jax set in at the head of the table. Disappointed Opie didn't show, but I suppose they'll get to that next season. Opie's probably dealing with a lot of his own shit with Clay and his dad's death, etc. His position is understandable.

Now I'm curious to see where the CIA storyline goes. Does everything go on handy dandy, and the club finds itself inserted in cartel beef? How would they work their way out of that. As far as the finale goes, I expected most of everything that happened to happen, and was hoping I'd be pleasantly suprised, but it is what it is. I'm just glad Jax is finally at the head of the table, I've been waiting 4 seasons for that.

Just got done with that mfer! Gahhhh! I filled my non-SOA time with other activities and shows and it actually went by quickly enough that I didn't feel as strongly as I did after the end of season 3, but gd if the season opener didn't get me hooked again.

Spoiler alert; highlight to read

It was so powerful seeing Tig's daughter get killed, I mean for a second I really thought it was gonna be the death of Tig but as Pope said that'd be too easy. I've always had a love/hate relationship with Tig in the show but I definitely felt bad for the character on this one. My whole line of thought was "there's no way he saw this coming when he went after Leroy."
