Ditto.. I think Beck "wants" it more then Grossman does. It seems to me that Grossmans has his first read, and then breaks down after that. He doesn't have the ZIP on the ball to recover missing the play late where Beck can wing it, and always break out the pocket to extend the play |

True, Grossman looks like he always thinking about pie. So tired of Grossman throwing ducks off his damn back foot |
It could be awhile before the Redskins win again. I like our chances to be back around full strength by the time Dallas rolls in for Week 11, but if we go 1-3 or 0-4 between now and then, we won't be talking about Dallas week, we'll be talking about who the coach will be next year.
If we can save 2-2 over the next four weeks, we can stay in it.
The coach next year will be Mike Shanahan. |

I'm sticking to 10-6.
9-7 at worst...as long as Rex stays on the bench. |
Yeah what was up with Hightower being active and not playing whatsoever?
He says he's healthy but was held out to rest and was available only for "emergency reps". Says he's 100% healthy now and will be good to go for the rest of the season.
Hightower, though, said not playing Sunday was precautionary and that he’s feeling better. “It was just a matter of resting up,” he said. “I’ll be good to go for the rest of the season.”
SOURCE- Chris Cooley 'frustrated' by latest injury - Washington Times |

Re: Predict the Redskins record for the rest of the season
I still think this team will be 10-6 .... so that simply means 7-4 the rest of the way ... doesn't sound that crazy to me .... this team is about DEFENSE ... the offense will get better .... Austin needs more action ... I also think Stallworth could stand to get some action .... Gaffney will loose valuable time with Grossman out (if Beck starts) ... and we are at game 6 .. it's about time to at least see Hankerson get on the field for a few snaps right ?

Re: Predict the Redskins record for the rest of the season
I think we all need to sit back a minute and be happy that Wrecks is no longer starting
|
Re: Predict the Redskins record for the rest of the season
I said 8-8 before the season started and I haven't seen anything that would make the tally change either up or down.
|
Re: Predict the Redskins record for the rest of the season
8-8 winning the division. :P hahaha
|
Re: Predict the Redskins record for the rest of the season
I still think 7-9, but that prediction necessitates a 1-5 stretch coming up (1-6 adding in the Eagles loss). Even a save of 3-3 sets us up nicely for the playoffs. But this is a very tough stretch and our two home games are against two of the teams off to strong starts (SF and Dallas). Winning just half of the road games we play over the next month and a half puts us at 2-4 if we can't handle our business at home.
7 or 8 wins definitely sounds about right at this point. I think the Redskins will finish strong b/c the Jets and Vikings (and Eagles) don't look so tough, and the Pats can be beaten if you manage the game for 60 minutes and don't lapse. |

Re: Predict the Redskins record for the rest of the season
10/23 at Carolina - Win BARELY
10/30 at Buffalo- Loss 11/6 San Francisco- Win 11/13 at Miami- Win 11/20 Dallas- Win 11/27 at Seattle- Loss 12/4 NY Jets- W 12/11 New England- L 12/18 at NY Giants- L 12/24 Minnesota- W 1/1 at Philadelphia- L I see 9-7 give or take a game |
Re: Predict the Redskins record for the rest of the season
We end up 7-9. Got some tough stretches coming up. Time to get a QB we have not had a true QB in this town since Rypien. Yeah we tried with Campbell but it wasn't meant to be.

Re: Predict the Redskins record for the rest of the season
I said 8-8 before the season started and I'm sticking with that. The only way we do better is if Beck turns out to be great, which is possible, but I highly doubt it.
|
Re: Predict the Redskins record for the rest of the season
Redskins have been losing against rookies for quite a while. Cam Newton is a rookie. Therefore, the Redskins it is likely that the Redskins will lose to Cam Newton.
Another loss. Bet 10000 dollars on it. You will be rewarded. |
Re: Predict the Redskins record for the rest of the season
6-4
I really hope neway |
Re: Predict the Redskins record for the rest of the season
Maybe we'll be this year's Seahawks...in the playoffs with a losing record!
If that happens in any division this year, it will be the NFC East. We're not the worst division, but we are the most competitive with no clear power team that's ahead of the others. Each team has clear issues mixed in with solid talent. |

Re: Predict the Redskins record for the rest of the season
Here's my take:
10/30 at Buffalo (L) 11/6 San Francisco (L) 11/13 at Miami (W - if we lose this one, MS needs to quit) 11/20 Dallas (L) 11/27 at Seattle (W - esp if Clipboard Jesus is at QB) 12/4 NY Jets (L) 12/11 New England (L - I wonder if BB will run up the score again) 12/18 at NY Giants (L) 12/24 Minnesota (L - Rookie QB) 1/1 at Philadelphia (L) I'm basing this on the half-a$$ performance by both sides of the ball in the past two weeks. |
Re: Predict the Redskins record for the rest of the season
The games we should definitely win- @Miami, @Seattle, vs Minnesota. We'll probably go 2-1 in those three however, because we ALWAYS find a way to blow a game we "should" win.
Games that are up in the air- @Philly, vs Dallas, vs Jets, @Buffalo(toronto), vs San Fran. Maybe 3-2 if we're lucky. Games we'll lose- vs New England, @NYG. I have zero confidence in either of these games. We're just not built to keep up with a team like NE, and we never go into the Meadowlands and win, especially late in the year. So I'd say we've got a decent shot at 8-8. |

Re: Predict the Redskins record for the rest of the season
I say realistically best case scenario is 7-9...I think thats even reaching because like others have poitned out, we see nothing that suggests now with all of the lost players, that we can win 8 games....most likely 6-10 but we could squeak out a 7th win...

Re: Predict the Redskins record for the rest of the season
I'm going 8-8. Wish that was good enough for a wildcard spot.
|
Re: Predict the Redskins record for the rest of the season
Are only chance for a win will be Miami but that is it. 4-12 at best,,,,mark it down!
I lost a lot of respect for the coaching staff in these past 2 weeks. I guess coaches do not study film anymore bc I could tell you how to walk the dog on the Panthers. Secondary is weak, linebacker corp is terrible and the D-line has some issues. |

Now I think we may lose every game including Miami. Too many key injuries, the typical QB BS and the implosion of the D is a recipe for disaster. Not to mention the schedule. Im with you at 4-12 |
Re: Predict the Redskins record for the rest of the season
I have to go with Okie on the 8-8, maybe even as low as 6-10 if the injuries keep mounting. Our only hope is for the Wrs to give Beck more help and the D to get its act together. Some people really need to step it up for a change. It would be nice if some of the fresher faces on the team decided to take control and establish themselves as bona fide starters.

I agree with this. If we keep losing key guys, it'll definitely become harder to win games, and we could end up 5-11 or 6-10. But if the team stays relatively healthy for the rest of the year I think we do 8-8 or with a stroke of luck slightly better. |
Re: Predict the Redskins record for the rest of the season
Because of injuries, I say 7-9. I think we actually win one of the next two games. This team was better than most gave it credit for at the outset of the season, but we'll be missing too many key players over the next several weeks.

8 -8 POSSIBLE 9-7...injuries are adding up.

In hockey it is :D No seriously the NHL is so close that Vancouvers league leading 54 wins is the equivalent of an NFL team with 10 wins. |
Re: Predict the Redskins record for the rest of the season
yea it's lookin more like 8-8 , 7-9 with injuries really playing a role... yet if ppl start stepping up and our play calling and game planning drastically improves we could still pull out a few more wins than its looking like and go 10-6
