The Ryan Leaf story is sad. That guy needs a serius rehab stint before he goes into jail.

Yep. What a tragic crash-and-burn story for a guy who once was Peyton Manning's rival. |
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency (and Trades) Tracker (Volume 2)
I really hope/wish this draft doesn't even compare to that draft in terms of QBs. I hate how people say 'this is like the year Ryan Leaf and Peyton came out...Who's Ryan and who's peyton between RG3 and Luck?' My answer is neither. This draft will define itself. If you put a gun to my head and still asked me what this draft compares to I'd say the 04 Big ben, Eli, Rivers draft.

Pretty clear Demetrius Bell is asking for too much money. Has visited #Eagles, #Steelers, #Packers, #Cardinals, #Redskins. Still jobless. |
I don't know how they do it but the Eagles make out like bandits with every trade they pull, so Tennessee will probably give them a high pick for Samuel. As far as what I think of it, either way the Eagles win imo.
How, what is it you base your opinion on,their super bowl wins?Serously the Eagles had a dream team last year and what was it they did with it.........nothing. |

I think mooby was talking about how the Eagles win in their trades...they got a 2nd rounder from us for a washed up McNabb, they robbed the Cardinals blind in the Kolb trade. You need to read posts more careful. |

Unless I am mistaken, the word "win" on the post refers to the Eagles coming out as winners in the transactions that they've made. They got a 2nd rounder for a QB that ended up being worth a 6th rounder in a subsequent trade and probably is worthless now. They got a pick and a starting CB out of Kolb, a QB that came very close to being unemployed this offseason. And they got a Pro Bowl LB from the Texans for not much. The Eagles seem to always come up in a favorable situation in all of their recent transactions with other teams, therefore they are winners in that aspect. Also, the author of the post just came and agreed with my interpretation of what he wrote. So once again, you are wrong and need to read things more carefully. |

Panthers traded RB Mike Goodson to the Raiders for Bruce Campbell.
Good move for Carolina. |

So the Chargers add Roscoe Parrish, Parrish and Royal don't really seem to fit Turner's style but oh well

Mentioned this in another thread but Demetrius Bell going to Philly....and Dennis Dixon apparently may be headed to St. Louis
|
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency (and Trades) Tracker (Volume 2)
blechh on Bell to Philly. Not that I wanted him particularly, I just didn't want him going to Philly. As I understand it, a clear step down from Jason Peters, but, still, a capable tackle and likely the best remaining on the market.
I hate it when good things happen for the Eagles. |
Re: 2012 NFL Free Agency (and Trades) Tracker (Volume 2)
It's all over Twitter but since I can't copy and paste from Twitter at work the word is it's a 5 year deal for Demetress Bell (not misspelled, he changed his name) in Philly. Like JR said he's not as good as Peters but he should be an adequate replacement for him if he can stay healthy.

Dude why have you become such a prick lately? You typically make some good comments in here, and a different perspective is always appreciated. If you don't have anything to contribute, the get the f*ck off of this board. And trust me, I am not being a mindless fan telling you that because you are a Giants fan. Looking at all your recent posts, you seem to just want to annoy the hell out of everyone. |

That's what happens when underachieving teams win the Super Bowl. Predicted to dominate the conference and contend, they barely squeak into the playoffs and muster a good 3 game run to win it all. LOOK AT US GUYS! WE KNEW IT ALL ALONG, EVEN THOUGH WE WERE SWEATING BALLS AND NEEDED OTHER TEAMS TO HELP US GET INTO THE PLAYOFFS!! It's even worse with the fans. |

Let's hope not. I hope Bell crashes and burns with them. Clearly they didn't think he was a surefire long term investment if they only guaranteed his salary for the first year. |

Feeling crushed after getting rejected by RG3, the Colts have signed a new defensive tackle.
Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter Colts HC Chuck Pagano has lured away another of his former players. Colts have signed former Ravens DT Brandon McKinney. |
