kerrigan gruesomely breaks manning's leg on a flea flicker, or maybe that doesn't happen til we play the giants on mnf?

Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions
Personally, after last weeks game the Giants are named the leagues best team or something like that. How soon we forget they have played 2 teams in the division and lost to both. Wasn't the Bucs the team with the least yrds allowed running and we ran pretty decent against them.
The toughest part of this game is we are playing in NY. I think the Skins can take this one out from under the Giants and bring them back down to earth after their big win against the 49ers. Remember, it seems like any team can win on any given week. Didn't Houston lose to Miami? Skins: 31 Giants: 27
haha,NO they just lost their first game to green bay |

Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions
Question: If Bowen, Kerrigan, Fletcher, Cofield can get to Manning, then what chances will the Midgets really have? A lot of Manning's progress against us will be determined by how well our corners and safeties are covering their wide receivers. The longer it takes a WR to get open, the better the chance for Kerrigan, Bowen, Fletcher, or Cofield to sack Manning.
|
Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions
The problem with "getting to Manning" or any elite qb, including Griffin, is that they extend the initial play, and our back end struggles once the play starts breaking. I have no doubt Manning will get his yards, but I think that we have to keep letting the defensive backs play free enough to get the turnovers that honestly have been critical to our success. And Manning will throw them, may even get 4 + turnovers.

Giants 35 Skins 24
Kinda like your reality check from last week when you predicted 31-17 Vikings? How laughable was that? |
Na. I think after last week they are dead serious with their posts and predictions for a Skins win. With that said, I am hoping with the rest of em'
Unfortunately, Giants will most likely shred our D... And I would not put it past their D to take a cheap shot or two at Griff.
Not so fast. The Redskins have been playing against some top notch offenses and some very good quarterbacks every game since week 1. There has to come a time this season when the defense puts together a complete game and this could be the game. I think the Redskins will build off of what they accomplished defensively against Minnesota last week. There's no where to go for the defense but up. |

Gotta love the positive spin of being dead last in Pass Defense against the Super Bowl champs....no way we win this game....not yet guys...give RG3 10 games under his belt, and a better secondary, then we can play with the big boys. I hope I am wrong...but this has 35-21 giants written all over it. |

I hope I am wrong...but this has 35-21 giants written all over it.
The Giants are the Super Bowl champs only because they faced a last place defensive team in the SB last year. The Redskins are familiar with Eli manning. The best way to shut down the NYG offense is to blanket their receivers and take away Manning's passing lanes. If the corners can hang with Nicks and Cruz for 6 or seven seconds the defensive line and linebackers will have a huge sack party. |

What about the games prior to the sb? They rolled everyone pretty much |
Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions
They got hot. Everyone's a professional, we can get hot and last week would be a great start to best some quality teams
|
I see us coming out fired up scoring quickly and then slowly losing the lead to bring it down to the last 5 min in the fourth.
We both have QBs that can execute in the 4th but I think the giants pull this one out and I'll get texts from my NY friends until I congratulate them on the Yankees season and ARods contract. |
Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions
Well, I guess the good thing about saying we're are gonna lose is that when we do actually win you'll be like "Yeah, I knew we'd win".
Good one! |
What about the games prior to the sb? They rolled everyone pretty much
They didn't just roll over Green Bay and San Fransisco. Green Bay simply didn't come to play and the 49ers gave the game away. |
Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions
I think it's pretty ridiculous to start one thread saying Giants fans argue SB 17 and 22 weren't legit and then post in another thread that the Giants' stumbles into their ring las year

I'm not saying that the Giants just merely stumbled into a SB victory. All I'm saying is that they met a lot of unlikely fortunes in achieving it. They showed the entire world that they are the 2011 Champions of the NFL. I saw them do it with my own eyes. Usually 9-7 teams don't do what they did. They certainly weren't the best team but they came out on top in the most unlikeliest and luckiest ways I've ever seen a Super Bowl champion end up. My arguments with Giants fans have gotten pretty heated so if it sounds like I'm a little bias, then that's the reason. As far as what their fans are saying about the Redskins championships is just their opinion. I was just letting Redskins fans know what NYG fans are saying. |
Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions
Giants 38
Redskins 30 Redskins will have the league the start of the second half but then Eli Manning starts to destroy us. Victor Cruz will have a huge day because we cannot cover slot receivers. Really close until the middle part of the 4th quarter. |
This is going to be a tough game, as all division games are. If we can weather the storm at the beginning, BobGriff will keep us in the game late and anything can happen. I also think we match up well versus the Giants. Zone read them to death to keep the ends from teeing off and we will be ok.

The rason they won the SB last year is because they beat the teams they needed to beat when they needed to beat them. Didn't they also have to beat the 49 with their tough D? |
I predict Banks will throw a pass.
Also, Santana's first reverse of the year will catch them completely off-guard since Banks has been the guy for that play. Griffin will throw for more TDs than run this time. Another defensive score...possibly a safety though.
I like it all. Can Banks throw more than 5 yards? |

Yeppers. In San Fran, when San Fran looked pretty unstoppable. The Giants have learned how to "peak" at the right time. |
Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions
Comparing the two teams, my intuition is the Giants have the more talented roster (though not by as much as you'd think), but more importantly their coaching is vastly superior to ours. NY overlooked us in both games last year, they won't this season.
Based on "science" lol Gmen win by 10 points. But it's a division rival game!! Anything could happen!! I'm pumped to watch Griffin every game :) |

Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions
I have the fear that Eli will hang 350 yds and 4 TD on our defense on Sunday. However it is a lot to ask the Giants to play three solid games in a row and Bradshaw is coming off of two good games. For a supposed 'elite' team, they are pretty inconsistent in the regular season.
This may be RG3's & Morris's first true 'welcome to the NFL' game.. I'm thinking 31-17 Giants. |

And I also think our D will pick him 2x's, that Morris will find some running, and that Griffin will hang 300+ combined yards on them. Probably the biggest shock to me will be if either team is held under 24 points and 350+ offensive yards. |

Re: Skins @ Giants - Predictions
I'm expecting both offense to have very good production. It will come down to defense. Whoever has the ball for the final possession will win the game? I'm not sure what's going to happen or how this game will play out. Hopefully the Redskins win and take sole possession of the NFC east.
