Dallas is going to get rolled. Nobody has the D right now to hang with Denver and the level Manning is playing at.

I hope they put this game on TV because I want to see tears in Cowboys stadium when Manning puts up 70+ against that struggling secondary.

Talk about another team putting up serious numbers, this is awesome and well deserved: Jimmy Graham of New Orleans Saints 1st tight end to win monthly honor - ESPN

And remember, Jimmy Graham is not a top 100 player according to the other players voting in the nfls top 100.

As far as Manning and Dallas, yes, this seems like a game where Dallas pulls off the big upset. Like I mentioned earlier, Dallas has played Manning great the past 2 times they've played them. I don't think this is going to be a blowout, as much as I hope Denver blows them out.
True. Doesnt the Freeman camp have a motive of leaking information as well in order to lessen the trade value and just get the preferable outright cut? I dont trust either side in this issue. Freeman already went behind the organization's back with the ESPN interview.
I don't see Freeman's side having any incentive to devalue him

Re: Around the NFL Week 5

As to the Freeman thing, John Clayton always struck me as an "up and up guy". I have to believe he reported it thinking he was getting substantive news from a reliable source about possible reasons for Freeman's benching (As in, "Okay JC, here's the inside scoop - you didn't hear it from me but -- the real reason Freeman's on the sidelines is related to the same reasons he has been in the NFL's drug testing program for the last year. I've seen him submitting to the testing.").

It seems to me Clayton was likely played a little in this matter. Makes me wonder if he may be a little upset about that.

Wasn't it Clayton who broke the story on Freeman's drug testing? If not, then just ignore my previous post.

Oh I thought it was Mortensen, actually

JoeRedskin 10-03-2013 01:50 PM

Re: Around the NFL Week 5

Sorry, it was Mortensen not Clayton. Again, though, Mortensen's got a pretty solid rep too. Hard to see him just playing the rumour monger.
I don't see Freeman's side having any incentive to devalue him
Well a couple things struck me one being he would get paid in full and he could then chose a team to sign with whether it be right away or on his own terms in the offseason. Maybe wait it out after being cut and if schianasshole is fired, could help his value. And the other thing was freeman didn't seem pissed about that leaked information. I would be.

And to your point, if they are trying to trade him, why would schiano de value him as well? Apparently most teams were called by the bucs.

It's all strange

Re: Around the NFL Week 5

The most significant thing here is that the Bucs are a really, really good defensive team with a lot of offensive skill talent that bungled its quarterback situation like amateurs. As poor as Freeman played as weak a prospect as Glennon is, it's hard to argue that even a maligned coach like Rex Ryan would have this team sitting at 2-2 and in the mix.

Just a really poor job of coaching and preparing the players to play.

Given the horrible quality of QBs in the league Freeman will definitely find work.

If your in Jacksonville, what is the argument not to bring him in? Gabbert is not NFL ready, Henne not exactly lighting it up. Freeman would be an immediate upgrade.

Re: Around the NFL Week 5

Jax is hurting in the worst kind of way. If they continue down this route, no way that team doesn't fold and have to move.

They at least need to figure out a QB who can move the ball around. Seriously can't hurt with Freeman.

Down here in Saints-land, if Brees is Breesus then Graham is Jimmy the Baptist. He's extremely popular and for good reason.

The argument for not bringing in Freeman is tanking the season and drafting Teddy B. If they do bring in Freeman, it would definitely give some ammo to the idea that they aren't trying to tank the season.

This is an entertaining game for two "bad" teams. Too bad that both starting QBs got injured.

And yeah, who is that hot chick who does the intro for TNF?

That's Priyanka Chopra, a major Bollywood actress. Super hottie on either side of the ocean. If you watch Bollywood, you may have seen her in Dostana, Pyar Impossible, or the dark 7 Khoon Maaf. She does a great job (but is intentionally not hot) in the movie Barfi.

I spend time in India every year, have many Indian friends, and speak some Hindi and Ladakhi, so I watch a lot of Bollywood and listen to a lot of Hindi tunes.

In India, Priyanka is on the cover of every magazine, it seems, and is always in celebrity gossip columns.
