Agree with this...if RG3 really got those perks, then the major problem with this organization is the same......Synder!!

Well, I enjoyed the culture change in Washington.

As far as I can tell, this culture change meant that Vinny Cerrato gets a radio show, and nothing more.

Blows my mind that we're at this point after making the playoffs last season, even knowing RG3 wouldn't be the same next season.

I hear all this hate for Shanny, but the Skins' biggest #1 problem is the owner. You can't have 7 coaches in 15 years and say every single was the wrong guy.

SouperMeister 12-08-2013 05:45 PM
I actually went to that sorry ass game for free. I have never seen it so empty. by the end of the 3rd quarter everyone left, including all the chiefs fans.
I went to the opener against Philly. That was enough for me. This is just a BAD football team, and I don't understand people saying we are better than ANY other dregs of the NFL. Time to blow this regime up and find one that can make Griffin into an NFL passer.

Yea I have a really hard time seeing anyone coming here and being successful as long as Snyder is the coach.

Re: Chiefs vs. Skins Post-Game

What does the perks that RG3 gets have to do with the play on the field? I mean who cares? If he gets all the things that are reported it's fucked up but still....what does that have to do with throwing inaccurate passes? Play Cousins next week, give him a week of practice and see what he can do. 16 points in two weeks is unacceptable. Time to shake things up. And put Polumbus on the bench as well. He's atrocious.

Fire Mike, insert Morris or Haslett the rest of the way.

But it's not the first time under Snyder that the Redskins have been caught giving money to someone of questionable character. It's just another in a long line of that same error.

When you have zero talent on your football team, and therefore no depth whatsoever, the special teams unit is going to be severely lacking good football players. So it really doesnt matter if its Burns or anyone else coaching the unit. He is in charge of a bunch of players that would have a tough time making the practice squad on any other team. This whole shitshow is a result of four years of pisspoor moves and drafts by Mike Shanahan.

Can we lay off the excuses? No matter what MS has had 4 yrs to accomplish something. Most HC's get better each year. MS got worse two yrs in a row, then had a play off season, and now worse then the first two. I would have probably been more in MS's corner had MS shown that the team was getting better each yr, that there was improvement somewhere but there has not been. Defensively nothing has changed... no better no worse... but last in the league. Offensively there is always an excuse for why we suck. Always. Oh its the HC, oh its the WR's, oh its the QB, oh its the scheme, oh its the monetary penalty, its always something. Maybe, just maybe it's the owner is why we suck? New toy or not can't he just keep his hands out of the cookie jar until this team does something spectacular?

I guess if RG3 is, what DS wants to believe is our franchise QB, then you might as well bring in the HC that made RG3 what he was in college. Otherwise RG3 will have to change and I can tell you RG3 looks horrible as a pocket passer. Maybe he can develop but he's not under this horrid OL and blocking scheme.

No opinion either way other then to say RG3 played well under Art, but please don't say Art had no playbook. Arts playbook was iPads with videos of the plays. He says he believes people learn better and quicker by seeing the play actually run vs. scribbling out X's and O's with a bunch of lines and telling the players to learn it.

So in all actuality he does have a playbook. Your welcome.

Re: Chiefs vs. Skins Post-Game
Baylor coach Art Briles abandoned the playbook several years ago, and he and his assistants teach their players the fast-paced spread offense through countless repetitions in practice and by watching hours of film.
"When I was at Houston, the first thing everybody wanted was the playbook," said Briles, who coached the Cougars from 2003 to '07. "A guy's not going to read or study it. Kids play video games, so we show them the plays on video. Everything is on an iPad, and we label it and number them. A playbook is something we don't do.
"I'm a visual learner, and people learn differently. If you can see something, you remember it. If you read it and try to interpret it, it's a little different. We do a lot of repetition on the field so guys can learn it."
Baylor coach Art Briles builds his offense around each quarterback - ESPN

WOW thanks for that info....Art Briles would be a horrible hire, Jason Campbell played well at Auburn why didnt we bring in their coach after Gibbs left? We need a defensive guy here, the offense has potential.

Ok you want a Defensive Guy. Thanks for sharing. but whoever takes the reigns they are going to have to figure out how to get this offense AND defense fixed.

I would has how many Defensive HC's have won a SB, but ... in either case you bring in a Defensive HC and what do we do offensively? you won't get Art (which is probably what you want) to be OC, so then your trying to find some other coach who can fix RG3 or your hoping Cousin's who was picked for cheap gets the nod.

I really do give a F who the coach is anymore at this point. This team is F'd as long as we have the owner we have. No Cousins is traded this offseason for whatever we can get..

"Briles coached Griffin in college and maintains a strong connection with the QB and his family." this a quote from a CBS article........This a wrong reason to hire a coach for one player.
