Re: Around the League: Week 2

one of the main NFL reporters (I think Andrew Brandt, but maybe another in the same vein) tweeted out after Snyder's statement that you can expect to see all the owners making similar statements over the next few weeks.

I really don't get the hatred for Goodell. Has he made bad calls, yeah, but mostly he does the owners bidding. Like it's been said, the Ravens ownership, FO and the NJ system deserve a lot harsher criticism here than Goodell does. At least even the weak 2 game suspension actually punished Rice, even if not to the degree the evidence showed he deserved. The pretrial disposition, and putting Rice on the podium with his victim were both far more offensive positions.

Panthers made call to deactivate Greg Hardy in mid-morning at highest levels of organization, GM Dave Gettleman, coach Ron Rivera involved.[/B]

Man I hope the Titans can make a comeback on the Cowturds. Maybe Romo has a couple INTs in him.

Yeah, definitely the right call in light of recent events. I read an unconfirmed account of what happened and if it's true Greg Hardy deserves as much scorn as Ray Rice.

Yeah, I feel the same way. There's a lot of players in the NFL that I have no love for when they play us, but the rest of the time they are a treat to watch. JJ Watt is definitely up there.

But its easier than taking the time to be a parent. I think if you believe in whipping your child as a form of discipline that you should be whipped at work everytime you eff up.

Ground me, I will find something to do at home. Take away something from me, I will do something else. Spank me, I remembered and learned from that.

Although I do take offense at you telling me that my parents are worthless piece of shits who deserve to be bitch slapped. My parents took the time to be parents regardless of your opinion of them.

This. Everyone has their own methods of parenting, there is no one way that's right or wrong.

Rivers and Gates putting on a clinic against Seattle. Gates just had this insane 1 handed grab for a TD. I like it when Pete loses. :)

Feels weird seeing DeMarcus Ware in a Denver uni. Always been someone I respected, yet hated having to play twice a year. I can't be happier seeing him somewhere that isn't Dallas.

You have to be bad to fumble twice on the same play.

Put words in my mouth just a bit huh? I dont care wtf you or anybody else says. I will never ever for one second even consider condoning the beating of a four year old child. If your parents scarred you when you were four than I am sorry for you. There is a HUGE difference between getting spanked and getting beat. AP beat his child. I got spanked. My daughter has been spanked. So if indeed you got "spanked" like you said u need to edit your post.
Sorry - back to football.
Edit: I didnt say anyone should get bitch slapped. I said if someone thinks that abuse is the correct way to discipline someone for not listening, screwing up, whatever - than I wonder how that person would feel getting beat with a stick on their back or legs or ass the next time they brake a rule at work or dont meet a deadline?

How awesome! Cannot stand the Seahawks, it was bad enough that the have been the team that knocks the Skins out of the playoffs, they hype and talk of them going 16-0, nice to see them get punched in the mouth early. Couldn't have happened to a better team.

The Texans are not looking so woeful this season, that opening loss, as painful as it was to experience and watch, may not look so bad now.

Yea they put a spanking on the Fins, nice since they honored Jim Kelly before the game.

Also nice to see Rivers and SD attack Richard Sherman, they had him looking like a squirrel in the road. :food-smil

I think I hate Seattle more than the Cowboys these days. Them losing really made today better. Hope we watch that tape and learn from it during our long week leading up to MNF against those guys.

Well the two things that make Seattle win didn't work this week: Marshawn Lynch, their #1 offensive player, was stopped by the SD defense. Their defense wasn't good enough to carry the team. I think they also lost Earl Thomas.

The Cowboy's D has been surprisingly good this year.

I don't think they miss him all that much to be honest.

He didn't really get exposed.

Antonio Gates was the difference in the game.

I was surprised by that because the Seahawks took away every tight end in the playoffs last year. I think that game was more about San Diego being a legitimate Super Bowl challenger than Seattle playing poorly.
