I respectfully disagree.
Pot Roast played a total of 19 snaps. He was double teamed 4 times: 0:51 left in 1st quarter, 1st and 10: gets doubled teamed and pushed out of the hole Demarco Murray runs 30 yards through the hole he just got pushed out of. 15:00 left in 3rd quarter, 1st and 10 he was double teamed 11:25 left in 4th quarter, 1st and 10 double teamed 10:07 left in 4th quarter, 1st and 10 double teamed Pot Roast was never triple teamed. When Kerrigan came free to the QB Pot Roast wasn't in the game: 3rd and 7 with 14:54 left in the 2nd quarter and 3rd and 7 with 8:35 left in the 3rd quarter. On the 15 snaps when he was 1 v 1 he pushed the pocket once or twice. Will wager Cooley grades him very badly on the film breakdown this week. He needs to lose 50 to 60 pounds and get in better shape. He has no push at all if he has to stay in for two plays in a row. Totally agree on Keenan. Bad Mofo.
I saw a guy getting double and triple teamed and believed it was knighton if it wasn't then maybe it was paea? Just know one big guy in the middle was sucking up offensive linemen. Sent from my S6 Edge
I may have missed one. I tried to watch the plays where he was double teamed a couple of times to be sure, but I may have overlooked one. With his snap count so low, it's relatively easy to watch his plays and fast forward through the rest. Check it out and see what you think. |

Re: The Gud, the bad and the Great. Eagles Post Game Reactions
Crowder is a beast. Totally reminds me of Santana. Tough, shifty as hell and just clutch.
LOVED eating some crow yesterday. Totally thought we were going to give that away. Now I know it's the undefeated Falcons, but it's our turn to steal a game we probably shouldn't win next week. The biggest thing we have to stop moving forward is letting people have break-out games. Bradford was GARBAGE most of the game, but the damage he DID was crucial. Bombs to Miles Austin (he's still in the NFL?!) and Riley racist-ass Cooper? Come on now. Obviously Culliver wasn't right, so hopefully that was it. |
Re: The Gud, the bad and the Great. Eagles Post Game Reactions
I loved the runs by Morris during that last drive and like the fact that Gruden didn't abandon the running game.
Even though the run wasn't working, by continuing to run the ball, it caused the Eagles to hesitate during playaction plays. I'd like to see an equal distribution of the running game between Morris and Jones moving forward; and I like what I saw out of Thompson as well. I don't mind having a RB by committee, I think it is a good thing having three good RBs. |

He did make a few plays and and Bradford didn't throw his way a lot so I have to assume he was playing mostly well. I really hope we can add some talent and depth to this secondary by this time next year. |
Re: The Gud, the bad and the Great. Eagles Post Game Reactions
It's nice to beat a team we should probably beat. Just don't want to get to carried away with it. Philly is probably really really bad, so losing would have really stunk. I just hope Reed can recover from the concussion quickly. I wished they would have stomped on them more when they were down.
Culliver was playing hurt, and Robinson didn't react fast enough with help over the top. They got us with play action in the second half a bit. Those plays looked funny, and I think most teams will watch tape and not get fooled again. It's just nice to see young players helping. |

When you abandon the run, you also abandon play action and bootlegs. You dont just lose the running game, you lose 30% or more of your passing game as well since no one is going to go for playaction if we go away from the run. KC isnt going to win you games being Tom Brady and passing 50 times every week, especially with a limited offensive playbook. He needs the play action and some occasional bootlegs to keep defenses honest in the passing game. |
Re: The Gud, the bad and the Great. Eagles Post Game Reactions
I have to say, they kind of dared Cousins to beat them and guess what? He beat them. I think the entire league needs to look at this game and realize that he can throw a clunker in there, but he also has the full capability to beat you with his arm.

Im happy with 120+yards against a stingy Eagles run d. I thought the ground game was effective enough to keep the defense honest enough that Cousins had success. |

I don't mind having a three-headed RB monster. It helps by keeping the power backs fresh (Morris/Jones) and it brings a nice change of pace back in Thompson. |
Re: The Gud, the bad and the Great. Eagles Post Game Reactions
Nice to see a game winning drive for a TD. I told my son that it wasn't going to happen, and I'm glad I was wrong. That Philly D was wore out by the end of the game after being on the field over 40 minutes. Nice to see them get some good gains running to the right side too.
Overall I think it was a great game plan. Nice mix and it didn't look like they were limiting Kirk. Unlike last week he was pretty accurate too. This one should go a long way to boosting his confidence, and the coach's confidence in him. Still need to cut down on the penalties - way too many. Some bad calls in my opinion, but that has to get cleaned up... |
Re: The Gud, the bad and the Great. Eagles Post Game Reactions
Good - Total Team victory, hard to pick just one MVP for this one but some candidates are. Kirk, Thompson, Crowder, Garcon, Baker, Murphy, Alf.
Our kicker has been awesome Bad- Officiating, the personal foul calls were a joke and the non-PI calls when our receivers were getting mugged. Roberts being in-active (j/k accountability is a good thing) Ugly = See Bad |
Re: The Gud, the bad and the Great. Eagles Post Game Reactions
I get why they stay with the running game. It's who we are on offense and it's our identity. We have an identity now which we haven't had since Gibbs 2. But it just seemed like yesterday it was time to go w/ your QB and either let him win it or lose it. The running game was not working at all. But it was nice to see Morris get that last drive going with some good cut back runs. That last drive the Eagles D looked tired.

This time it was obvious the Redskins got the worst of the bad calls. They need to review all personal foul calls. It really burns me when a defender gets flagged for helmet to helmet when he was diving to make a tackle at the waist but the runner lowered his head at the last second causing their heads to hit. Overall great game that should be a major confidence builder, blowing a 13-0 lead and coming back with a late 4th quarter 90 yard drive to win. |

Leading up to that last drive, the previous Gruden called plays were 5 straight passes which lead us off the field with zero points. Yes it comes a time where a QB will have to make a play; you know its the NFL, but we cannot afford to abandon with run. I thought we ran the ball against a stout run defense just fine. Look 125 yards rushing for a game is a success. The reason the Eagles defense looked tired was us controling the clock running the ball. I thought Jay had his best game yesterday. Maybe so far in his tenure. Loved the boots and taking shots down the field. I thought the draw on 3rd and long shows growth. Stuck with the run. I saw good reads by Kirk and Gruden gave him easy throws. Getting Crowder involved in the passing game was maybe the best call by Gruden this year. Garcon/Crowder were a solid combo. I really hope Desean can get his ass back on the field soon. |
Re: The Gud, the bad and the Great. Eagles Post Game Reactions
I am thinking that as Crowder works his way into the offense and practicing with the 1st team, Cousins will gain confidence in him. Every time I watch film of Crowder he is separating from DB's - at some point it's not just the scheme getting him open.
As a QB, if you know a guy is going to be open regardless of the play called, you start looking for him and using him as the goto guy. It happened with Reed and RGIII (when they weren't injured), there was a trust that if RGIII put the ball in his vicinity, Reed was gonna catch it. I see the same happening with Crowder. |

Playing every defensive snap, Jarrett allowed three catches on seven targets for 23 yards. While his work in the passing game was very good, it was Jarrett’s work in run support that was impressive for a rookie corner; Jarrett had two stops in the run game on 17 run plays. Good- 1. Young players play with extra effort!! 2. Kirk bouncing back from last week and throughout the game. If he can put two in a row and with this one being on the road!! He can take a big step then. Garçon for making tough catches!! B. Bad- Leadership still lacking from Jay!! Too many players celebrating and talkingafter catching a pass, deflecting a pass or tackling someone after they gain a first down while we losing!! Jay need to tighten up d no se doing the game and players more focus and accountable!! This team can win easily win 10 games if he tighten up on d fooliness and let Kirk make more plays down d field!!

I'd say SM needs to add TE to the list next year. Reed is a mess right now and has another concussion. He might be out for a while.

It was actually really important that he did. Remember that leading up to his being hired, all he was doing was running an agency dedicated to college scouting. As we move away from that point he will be further removed from the top collegiate players. We need to take advantage of his scouting knowledge these first two drafts. After that we have to hope he builds a seperate but effective staff on the Skins. Sent from my S6 Edge |
