Jacoby snubbed, Dungy in, Orlando Pace instead of Jacoby? How many SB did he win? He was a 1st round pick, Jacoby an undrafted FA, more reason for this awesome accomplishment by JJ. Fuck those assholes that select players to the HOF. What did Dungy do? Win one SB.

Yeah i dont get the dungy thing at all. Pace was a beast and definitely deserving. He is better than Jacoby, but Jacoby deserves to be in.
Edit: I really dont get the Dungy thing.
Halas, Gibbs, Lombardi, Landry, Noll, Parcells, Walsh, Dungy. Which of those things doesnt belong at all?!?!?

Jacoby faced these guys: Lawrence Taylor, Reggie White, Bruce Smith, Chris Doleman, Lee Roy Selmon, Richard Dent, Charles Haley. Hall of Famers all, and they appeared regularly on the schedule. Who did Pace face? Not this pass rushers. Joe was an unsigned FA, Pace a #1 overall pick, making this even more amazing what JJ did. Fuck those writers.

Cant hold the fact that Pace was a number one overall pick against him. Lol.
Also Jacoby certainly had a pretty good supporting cast at his side. Who did Pace have? Im referring to his line-mates not the team. Like I said Jacoby deserves the nod, but Pace was better.

i know he didn't play here, but pace was a very good player for a long time. he was the best LT in the league for a while.

and i don't get dungy either. in tampa they traded a pick for gruden so they could win with dungy's roster. maybe it's the fact that he's on TV? or that he's the first black coach to win a SB (by default, since losing would given that title to lovie smith) and maybe the voters think that's pretty important...

Not really. $15 in 1969 equals about $100 in 2016.

Thought about both of those - TV? First black coach to win as if skin color should matter? Also his son who committed suicide? Seems soooo much like a gift to me. Who knows? Just absolutely never thought of him as one of the all time great coaches. Never for a second.

Is this the same Tony Dungy the got punked in the playoffs every friggin year(but 1) with Peyton Manning at qb....hmmm:Smoker: And took a miracle comeback by Manning just to finally get in the SB and defeat the might Grossman led Bears...hmmm:Smoker: if they pulled the ol he's the first minority blah blah then they should have made it a 3 for 1 and parlayed Doug Williams and Tom Flores right along with him :Smoker: Tony fn Dungy the moral police shall rest easy :Smoker: There are 50+ head coaches I take before him, Flores included. Don't get wrong, Pace deserves to be there, he was a stud. my point is Jacoby was there first and also faced better pass rushers and was undrafted making this accomplishment more deserving to go ahead of Pace.

Re: SuperBowl Week

The HOF has become what the Pro Bowl is. A big joke. Dungy? If he's in there then why isn't Tom Flores or Jimmy Johnson? Or George Seifert? Dungy underachieved if anything. And sorry but Ken Stabler is not a HOF type of QB. Real good player in his day and all, but not HOF. He has more picks than td's.

Pace definitely deserves it, the guy was an absolute stud. Jacoby deserves in too, his time will come.

Nice of the committee to let Stabler in. 6 months after he FRIGGIN DIES!!!! I guess the other 30 opportunities to put him in was just bad timing.

Mike Shula would have been my pick for assistant coach of the year. He's taken that Panthers offense to another level with average talent but outstanding gameplan/play concepts.

Really get tired of the cam newton race talk by ESPN. Yes racism does exist, but every single person I know who says "I hate Cam" says it becuase he is the modern day Deion Sanders: the biggest showboater in the game who happens to be one of the best in the game. The majority of his hate is solely based on this fact and it not about race. Stop acting like its the other way around.

What a redemption story by Schula on the nfl level. He has done an outstanding job with an average Oline and a WR Corp who clearly below average coming into the season. He has developed a great scheme.

cam did really step up his game this year though. compared to last year it's night and day. we'll just have to see if this is his new normal. whatever happened, it worked.

If we can improve the defense I think we can make a push.

The one consistent to the Super Bowl that is defense still wins it.
