Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings
I will never say we shouldn't try to sign DJax, but stop bidding once the price is over 12-13M, (basically prorating 16M for the 4 games you expect he will miss or be limited in)

DJax just posted something in his IG account, that makes it look like he's headed to Tampa. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk |
I think Reed and Crowder made a ton of clutch catches. I'm not minimizing Garcon, just saying last season we had alot of options. This year there will be options, some untested though.
Sent from my SM-G935T using Tapatalk
Reed an Crowder did make some clutch catches as well. However, Garcon had been the most consistent. He caught almost everything thrown his way, and some of those catches required him to be physical in order to keep possession. Not sure if Crowder has the strength to be as physical, we'll see this year. |

I think Doctson would be looked at as Garcon's replacement, not Crowder. Of course health is a concern until he shows otherwise, but imo, he did enough last year in his limited action to say he will make an impact. |
Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings
DJAx Instagram post was prior to Washington making a last minute push.
If Jay is wielding his power more over the organization as a whole, signing KC longterm and bringing back his first big FA will be important to him. Just my 2cents from a far. |

Good, watch his hamstrings will be bothering him by May. He will play maybe 10 games this year. |
Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings
The link says 10-12M, if so, I would have preferred to keep him. Regardless, I don't think the team expected to keep either Garcon or DJax, so it's not shocking to see them go.

Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings
Jax is going to lose a step each yr from now on. It's a smart move to let him go. Tampa is desperate because they haven't been good since jon left

So who do they expect to be our #1 WR? The dude with the Achilles issue who hasn't played a down? Welcome back to Loserville, population - Redskins organization |

D-Jax gone, Garcon gone, Scottie Mac who was helping turn the team around as GM gone, trade rumors of Kirk going to 49ers. Is there any good news? I think I smell another 4-12 season coming, how did things go south so fast? |

Chris Baker is expected to sign elsewhere, as well. |

Welcome back to Loserville, population - Redskins organization
If we lose Kirk and start colt, we are a 4 win team again. If we keep kirk and add a couple WRs we could be OK. Gotta upgrade the defense and as of right now it doesn't appear we are getting any FAs worth a shit. Hopefully poe and Baker sign |

Hasn't this be the MO of this team over the past couple of seasons thought? I mean aside from Norman, who pretty much fell in our lap, the team hasn't actively gone out and pursuit FAs. I don't understand what would be so different this year. |

Sadly money talks, not everyone can have good players play for a discounted price like the Patriots do. |

Welcome back to Loserville, population - Redskins organization
I give Doctson a good shot at being the number 1. He may not be, but he was high on a lot of draft boards, and when he played, he made an impact (except on fades:( ) |

Yeah, so I am not crazy. I thought I heard the same as well. We might as well get Kleenex as sponsor next year because that is how thin our DL will be. |
Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings
On the bright side, they are interested in Benny Logan, Poe and/or McClain from Dallas.

Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings
I love Garcon, was my favorite NFL player but we couldn't pay him 16 million this year. Speaking of that, I have to pick a new favorite player now.
Jackson is getting older, and is hurt a lot, I think it was good to not pay him 10+. This is part of the NFL cycle people, that's why we drafted Doctson. No one could have predicted that fluke injury. Watch his TCU YouTube videos. If he's healthy he'll be good. We will sign or draft another receiver or two. I'm not worried about that. Just beef up the defense on every level. |

If we replace Baker with Poe that's fine

Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings
The Redskins will sign free agent defensive lineman Terrell McClain to a four-year deal when the free agency begins at 4 p.m., a source confirmed. The Redskins likely will lose Chris Baker in free agency, with Tampa Bay a favorite. McClain can play multiple spots along the front, having done so in Dallas. The Redskins also have stayed in touch with Ziggy Hood, who played for them last season and is a free agent as well
What in the fuck are we doing? |

Poe to me is ok, guy from ravens is a better fit. But if we got Logan from the eagles id be happy with that. Baker was extremely solid for us |
